I’ve been wanting to try banh mí for a long time and I’m so glad I decided to try it here! Upon entering the restaurant, the general atmosphere of the place is really open and comfortable. I didn’t have to wait in line (as I arrived at 2:15pm on a Wednesday) and my food was out within 10 minutes of ordering. The person at the counter was pretty nice and patient with me and brought my food to my table once it was done. I ordered an original half & half Korean corn dog, a char siu banh mi, and a brown sugar milk tea with tapioca pearls. All 3 things were excellent. Flavorful, sweet tea with the boba cooked just as I like it. Soft, with just a tad bit of resistance in the bite. The Korean corn dog was crisp on the outside and had a tasty outer layer. The mozzarella was slightly melty, creamy, and fresh. While the sausage half was salty, with the slightest snap as you bit into it. And finally, the banh mi. One of the freshest tasting sandwiches I’ve had the pleasure of eating. I’m not a big fan of cucumber and normally I only eat cilantro in tacos but the combination of the two along with the other vegetables, meat, and sauce make this a really well balanced sandwich. The baguette that it’s served on also has an excellent texture. Pillowy on the inside, flaky and crisp on the outside. I really enjoyed my meal here and will definitely be returning again for another midday lunch....
Read moreI used to like coming to Bobami Banh Mi. The packaging before looked nice and colorful, but recently it changed to plain white—it just feels less appealing now. I came in to grab a grilled pork banh mi. The label said "grilled pork," so I didn’t check inside and left quickly. When I got home, I realized it was actually pork meatball instead. I was a bit disappointed, but decided to try the pork meatball again later since it tasted okay the first time. This time though, it was a letdown—the portion was noticeably smaller, and the flavor just wasn’t the same. I also ordered takoyaki during both visits. The first time it was just okay—not great, but I love takoyaki so I was fine with it. But the second time, it didn’t even have any sauces on top. Are you sure that’s how it’s supposed to be? Unfortunately, both times I had to leave quickly so I didn’t check the orders until I got home. That’s on me. But after two disappointing visits in a row, I don’t think I’ll be...
Read moreFirst time trying. The restaurant is clean and well designed and is a neat space. Very friendly greeting.
Daughter’s half and half Corn Dog looked excellent and she said it was delicious. Both our drinks were fantastic. I got the Special Fruit Tea and she got the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Tapioca topping.
However, here’s where I had to rate lower. In order the bobami special bahn mi. Meatballs tomato sauce, pork etc. I was given what looked like the special dac biet. I took it up to the register and explained with my receipt it was not what I ordered. They apologized and took it away. But then came back to insist it was the special. I told them it was not the one on the receipt I ordered. They said yes. I gave up and took a bite, thinking maybe they were right. They were not. It was chicken pate and head cheese. I am not a fan of pate and ended up tossing it because I couldn’t stomach it. A true shame, the bread was fantastic and the...
