I feel the need to warn others about this hotel because I don’t usually complain about hotels but this was probably the worst I’ve ever seen a room. I was quickly looking for a place to sleep on our way back from Disney World and this was one of few options in the area, had a good rating and the pictures looked fine. They are definitely deceiving though! Only some of the rooms are updated, I got one that was not. |The baseboards were falling off, the mirror had large black spots in it, and the shower had what looked like tape holding it together. On top of that, they don’t even wash the sheets between guests! I saw a black smudge, which I could recognize as makeup on the sheets near the pillow, so I pulled it back to check the rest of it, and found a spot of clear dried-up fluid near the middle of the bed. There was also a large yellow spot, looking to be dried up urine, near the corner of the bed. I was disgusted. I went back to the front desk, and the woman working was out front smoking so I almost didn’t even stop to checkout before leaving. But by the time I got my kids and bag back in the car she was back. So I went in to hand her the keys and kindly let her know the room wasn’t a room I could sleep in (and why), I said I thought about asking for another room but I don’t think I’d even trust it like I can’t sleep here after that, so we were gonna just continue our drive. |She said she was sorry, and wouldn’t even have a room available to move me to, the best she could do was offer me new sheets. She said she reversed mine and my sisters check-ins (we had 2 rooms) and refunded her, and since I booked with a third party, I would need to contact them and they could contact the hotel for the refund to be approved. But surprise surprise, my sister didn’t actually get a refund, and the hotel is also refusing to approve my refund. I cannot believe they expect people to pay for rooms that are falling apart and don’t even wash the sheets, and then when they don’t have any room available, they’ll still take your money. So travelers beware, I would never...
Read moreAwful customer service and deplorable room. Me and my two children arrived, paid for the room as you're supposed to, then went to our room. The hallway smelt like Marijuana and excessive cologne spray to make the place smell good, I'd assume. As soon as we walk in, we check around like you do when getting a room. The window had horrible condensation, and the room smelt of mildew mixed with the cologne smell. I check the beds for signs of bedbugs, which include pulling the blankets and sheets back only to find one bed with a fingerprint and pen marks, and the other has pen marks and a couple black marks or somthing i could not make out. My daughter calls me in the bathroom to show me the urine in the toilet which prompts me to notice the disgusting ceiling vent, broken bathtub and black finger prints above the toilet like someone leaned against the wall. The microwave had a crusted food smear in it, and we promptly decided to leave. I immediately checked out and decided to just drive the remaining four hours to my sister's, mind you, I have already driven 7 hours with my young children. I asked the front desk for a receipt and refund, and she said she could not give me either of those things and to call the manager in the morning. I called the manager and he said " I refuse to give you a refund, I am a buisness man. No one else complained that night, so your complaint is irrelevant. I will not give you a refund, the water is just yellow, I am a buisness man. People try to get out of a room all the time by just changing their mind, that's what you're doing, I'm a buisness man, so I won't refund you anything. You booked the room so you agreed to it, Good bye." So moral of the story is if you don't want a room like above, I recommend anywhere but there, remember he is a buisness man and apparently that means no refunds for terrible rooms which you don't get to look at first. Resulting in stolen money, mad customers, and bad reviews. I am not a buisness man, but that to me sounds like a horrible business. He must have ordered his business education...
Read moreThere was nothing welcoming about this hotel. As soon as the cancellation period passed twenty-four hours before my check-in I received a threatening email warning me about multiple types of fines that would be imposed on my credit card if I did various things at the hotel, including smoking resulting in a $350 fine. Upon check-in, at the desk there was a sign about damage deposits being put on my credit card and not being refunded until after I checked out and they inspected the room. The man who checked me in was interrogating me about having a dog, which I do not have. I was there from out of state to attend a funeral with my 80 year old mother. Inside the room on the desk was a long list of things they would charge me for if any item in the room was deemed missing. The toilet wouldn't flush properly. The shower was a joke. The water came out brown and couldn't maintain a temperature or pressure. Every time someone else in the hotel turned on water, my shower went too hot, too cold, or the stream almost stopped entirely. The springs in the bed were horrible and I tossed and turned all night in pain from the horrible mattress. This hotel treats guests like criminals and the accomodations are probably better in some prisons. I won't be choosing Days Inn for my stays in the future and neither...
