Crawfish Shack — Restaurant in Florence

UPDATE: I noticed that it's been 3 years since my original review below. The only thing that might have changed is that the Crawfish Shack has gotten even better!!! and in my opinion, even better today, in every way possible than it was the 3 years ago. The atmosphere is fantastic, I believe that they've also added on to the restaurant so there's plenty of seating. They have live music from time to time, they serve beer and mixed drinks as well. They're crawfish is really great, we definitelyweren't disappointed. A friend of mine and myself went on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and everything was spot on! Between the 2 of us we went through 20 pounds of crawfish, it was great, really well cooked and seasoned. I am adding a couple of new photos from my recent visit with 20 pounds of crawfish sitting on the table. Also, they do serve a lot more than just crawfish, they have a full menu for other good eats for casual dining or if there is someone in your party doesn't care for crawfish. I highly, highly recommend The Crawfish Shack of Florence!! Enjoy!!

I got me some crawfish today from The Crawfish Shack of Florence, it's the first time in over 3 years. The last time I did get crawfish was from The Crawfish Shack of Florence. I just gotta say, i was welcomed when i walked through the door with a smile and greeted and then greeted again by someone else less than 1 minute later. I was asked whether or not i wanted regular or spicy, (which usually isn't a choice in most places), I got spicy of course, and let me tell you!! I was completely impressed and satisfied with the crawfish! I read a google review knocking this place for straight tailed and bad tasting crawfish, now usually you will see 1 or 2 per pound, I had not even ONE! They were great crawfish, friendly service, and I will definitely be recommending The Crawfish Shack of Florence to everyone! Wow. Hard to put my experience into words. I've had one of the best crawfish experience that I've had in my life here. I'll try to stop by here when I'm driving through the area again. These guys are monster size, perfectly seasoned, and perfectly cooked. I've grown up eating crawfish and it's one of my favorites but these put my past experiences to shame. When you're eating here it'll make sure curse, it's that good. The staff is super friendly and though we stayed 30 minutes after closing time, we never once felt rushed. In Wednesday reserved crawfish for 4.50 live. They called back Thursday ( after getting prices im sure) and wanted a deposit saying oh well we will be closed Sunday is the reason!! Basically lied then. Talked again Friday morning and again no mention in price increase. Get there in Saturday 75 cents higher a pound.
