This is check in day. Got here immediately had problems RE fact that we paid in full 2 months ago for stay yet was charged again. Front desk dude, no name tag was dismissive about situation. Got here at 3pm and hours later I am being told they will "check into it". Now to the place itself. Location and access is fine, lot reasonably maintained and the exterior has been refreshed. We are in TX hot as F. Window unit AC keeping the room cold. Room has items it's supposed to and one thing that makes me thrilled, NO CARPET. I believe the lack of carpet is saving the room from being a complete nasty moldy mess because whole place smells moldy. Bad enough that we are taking allergy meds but not knock you out n trigger immediate reaction. Floor of room & tub and toilet are clean. Bathroom door does not close completely (not hung correctly?). Closet door does not close completely (cannot figure out why). Random holes in walls, sections of tile not grouted. Pictures below. Do yourself a favor. Go to a different location owned by someone else. Update today is Friday it is 10am. I have checked out a full day early. This location has been a nightmare RE billing. Still the duplicate charge has not been addressed, and today rather than prorating the 2nd charge to reflect the early departure, I have been charged an additional $40! Front desk guy straight up refused to even try to adjust it once I saw what he was putting through. Complete billing practices at this location are beyond bad. It is abusive and possibly criminal in the manner that they are conducting business. So to be clear for 2 nights I am paying well over $750. No damage to room or property. This is just the charges for the room. Look at my past reviews. I am reasonable and do not make a habit of blasting locations. Go to a different location.

My overall experience SUCKED! I killed nats everyday between the bathroom and the living area and when I was on my way to bed. My tv was small and outdated. Even had scratches all over the screen. I thought the pool would be good since it was indoors. The jacuzzi was filled but the water was green and the jets didn’t work. Same for pool it was all types of hair and little pieces of trash floating around. No common areas outside so if your a smoker be prepared to sit on the sidewalk. The elevator was making all types of noises and just moved slower then what typical elevators move. Lastly I requested late check out because my flight leaves a 7pm. I requested during booking, confirmed when I checked in. My room didn’t have a blow dryer. I was told look around for it. Didn’t find it and staff walked in my looking for and finally concluded someone must of stole it. But wanted to show me where it goes when I’m done???! My fridge smelled crazy and had the whole counter hot and was not working for the first 2 days. However my last night I wanted to confirm the time was 3pm and was told they were charging $25 per hour . When on the website it was a flat rate until 3pm. The day of checkout I’m in bed sleep and the cleaning still walks in after I requested and talked to somebody out front. Staff was not polite during leaving. They didn’t even speak until I walked away. Then started arguing with one of my nieces(yes a child ) because she was doing TikTok outside while we were checking out! Save ur money!!!!! And stay somewhere else! Check is at 11 not 12 but you know I can’t read apparently!

Upon entering (DBL KING SUITE), Door Connector/attachment, to retract/Closure of door “INOP” Decor was impressive, , Negative findings: BedRoom “NO BR Lights”, Wall mounted lights only on each side of bed. AFTER settling, getting settled in, making best of Suite MONDAY: breakfast: SEE Pics enclose Monday morning: Ketchup, Tabasco, bagels,.. SEE for yourself.. Scrambled Eggs , Sausage, ,(BURNED,VERY DRIED), ALL other items: look at pics. TUESDAY: ketchup, Tabasco , SEEMS DOWN Sized with what choices, Scrambled eggs, seemed (LIKE MONDAY)servicing line.. SAUSAGE LOOKED like SAUSAGES, ALL OTHER CONDIMENTS of SAME to ABOUT Empty Hot sauce & Ketchup btl as day before Morning of passing of TORNADO TUESDAY- warning Morning of Check out, WATER in L/R - front room, water on floor by window Brought “THE ROOM ISSUES-to Male attendant , left out priory to Check out time PHOTOS ATTACHED A/C puddle of water

I planned this trip for over a month. I bought tickets for the event and reserved my room at this particular La Quinta Inn since I use La Quinta for business. I wanted to make sure I had no issues so I booked a month in advanced. The weekend of 5/15/2021 I prepare to heading to Ft. Worth and at about 1:30pm I received a phone call and noticed it was the La Quinta I was planning to stay in. The gentleman introduced himself to me as the owner, I figured he was calling to confirm my arrival ( I usually was the app to check in before I arrive) had a different message for me. He informed me that my reservation was cancelled. When pressed as to why because it made no sense.

  1. My reservation was made a month in advanced
  2. I received confirmation that everything was in order The manager then told me there was a fire and 15 rooms has be closed down. My immediate thought was....a fire!!!!!!!!!! This seems like a huge lie and and very unprofessional. Now I am traveling and just informed that my room is cancelled because of a so called fire. He did not even know if there was another La Quinta I may be able to go stay at or at least another hotel, but no he simply kept telling me there was a fire. Luckily I was able another place to stay after several hours of myself and friends calling around. I just could not get the fire excuse out of my head. So later that evening I went to this location to find out for myself about this supposed fire. First thing I noticed was the all rooms sold out sign on the from door as I talked to the lady at the front desk she confirmed that they were all sold out. I replied, "I understand, I imagine the fire caused a serious booking problem." She looked at at me with this perplexed look and replied, "What fire????" The fact is this owner decided he wanted cancel my reservation to accommodate some one who walked up that he figured he could get a higher price for the room I reserved is beyond unprofessional. To lie and say there was a fire shows how untrustworthy he is. As a business man when I make a commitment I stick to it. I personally will never stay here again I am a big fan of La Quinta. I wish we didn’t have to leave a star at all! Every year for my daughter’s birthday I give her a hotel party at a hotel that has an indoor pool. This is the 3rd time at this location. The first 2 time was perfect from start to finish no problem what so ever. This last stay was 3/16-3/17, should have known it would be an issue when I did the early check in when my reservation was canceled due to the payment information (that went through perfectly when I had to rebook), there was no call or anything usually the hotel calls and ask for another payment method. Then when I get there the lady at the front desk was kinda rude but I over looked it. I informed her I was giving my daughter a party and apologized to the front desk in advance if they receive any complaints since I knew the kids would be a loud as 7-10 yr olds are. The lady side eyed me. My guest was handled extremely rude as they were leaving out. I asked for extra towels and was told there were none, however the whole 2nd floor was being renovated which makes no sense as to no towels. I was told that there were complaints due to the noise from the kids at the pool a little argumentative but still apologized again for my guest. Later on I went back to the front desk and asked for extra blankets and was then asked why and lectured to that it is only suppose to be 4 to the room, and since it was a new person at the front desk I repeated that I was giving my child a party for her bday and I already informed the person that was there at check in, and then I was threatened to be charged $25 for each additional person. So at this point I was treated rudely by 2 separate employees. I finally got the blanket after 20mins of a lecture and going back and forth with the employee. Get back into my room and go into the bathroom and there was a big roach running around and ran right into one of the cracks. Then to set the night off right the vent to the ac unit feel off😩. Such a horrible experience. I would not recommend anyone stay here and I will no longer be reserving a room there. I have pictures and videos of my experience. I booked this hotel for a stay with my family during spring break. We are from Oklahoma. We checked in just fine. The place is supposed to have an indoor pool and was pretty close to a lot of things so seemed like a winner. We walked down the hall to get in the elevator and noticed the pool was shut down. Huge problem because I have a 4 and 6 year old that want to swim. My husband goes back down to ask they guy at the counter about the pool and he says for sure it is closed. We asked about getting a refund and leaving (we had only been here 30 mins at this point) And he told us we had to wait until the next person comes in. I go back up the the room. The whole 3rs floor hallway smells like mold. My nose is running. I am allergic to mold. The next lady comes in and I go down to talk to her And ask her if we can refund and leave because of the mold and the pool. She told because we Already checked in that she couldn't refund us. Because a 24 hours cancelation policy. Which hey... A policy is a policy. I get it. But there was no forewarning at all that the hotel was under construction. The lady then told me I could go up to the second floor and check out some rooms up there. So I go up to the second floor, and the elevator door opens and there is construction tape across the entrance! I cannot even enter the second floor! I feel like they put me in danger for her own entertainment! I spent the next 4 hours in the phone with Expedia trying to get my money back so I could get a new room. This woman refused to refund me. I am now having to go through my bank to get my money back for a room my family didn't even stay in. Couldn't stay in.

I would not in a million years, recommend this hotel. This experience was a nightmare. We wasted an entire day of vacation because they don't have have the decency to warn people that their main amminity is closed. Why would I pay $144 for a room in a moldy hallway...
