I really enjoy Shipley donuts and so has anyone else i took to the location on Abrams in Arlington Tx.
I moved to forest hills Tx and the location on sw loop 820. Is the worst to say the least! For plain glazed donuts they are Ok, but if you want a dz of filled donuts at a cost of 16.80 don't order them.
The filled ones had a 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon of filling in them and what's worse they were out of blueberry filled on the shelf, so the lady serving me got 2 donuts to fill and the 1st one had less than half a teaspoon of filling and the 2nd one only got what was on outside of the piper filler. So nothing but a blue spot.
Needless to say is this, yes I went in and waited my turn inline. It was 6.45 am I got there. Was served 7am. I was 3rd inline and drive through had 2 cars worked by another. So it wasn't that busy and certainly no reason to short their customers who pay a whooping 16.80 for a dozen of donuts and not get what...
Read moreKarina, the pretty hispanic woman working there, is my favorite cashier. She's the absolute sweetest and has the best service. Also, she looks a lot like my ex girlfriend's stepmom who used to call me mijo, and I used to love to see her family, so Karina kinda feels like mom. The little old Korean lady who works there understandably doesn't like to give her name out, but she also does a wonderful job of counter service and is pretty sweet. Her husband, who usually works in the back but sometimes up front, is kinda grumpy and mean though. Donuts are decent if boring solid basics when fresh, but really would recommend checking their freshness before making final decisions on purchases. I do like the kolaches even if they're not great. Honestly, I come to see Karina for a chat at breakfast more than the food, but the foods not too bad for breakfast on the way home from graveyard shift at...
Read moreI ordered through Uber, this place was one of the few still open in the afternoon. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The donuts were very low quality, they had an artificially moist texture that was more of a wet texture. The flavors were dreadful, clearly the company cuts costs on ingredients, and tasted more of store bought grocery store donuts. The worst part about it was the price. The business charges about %50 more for their donuts compared to local shops. You are paying for worse quality, worse flavors, and...
