As someone who travels for business with their spouse multiple times per year, I need a hotel with a full kitchen and double workspace. This was the reason I chose this hotel. And it definitely had a comfortable double workplace and large kitchen with a full size fridge. Considering we were gonna make our meals that was great.
However, sleeping and bathroom was another story. The bed, while clean was incredibly uncomfortable. Im talking camping on grandpas rocky driveway uncomfortable. Very firm with only a puffy mattress protector between us and the cheap hard mattress. I did not sleep well at all. I'm a bigger person with rheumatoid arthritis and this bed was not kind to my joints. My husband also did not get a good night's sleep. The other thing I noted was the small cramped bathtub which honestly could have been larger considering the space. It would have been nice to have a shower hose as well which I commonly see and appreciate in hotels. The only other thing I want to comment on is that they are really not very generous on the towels and cupboard items. Typically hotels offer at least 3 - 4 towels per room, or at least daily housekeeping to replace dirty towels - we had two towels. I had to use the same towel for 4 days. Gross. Also the cupboard had exactly 2 plates 2 cups, two bowls, and 2 forks, 2 knives, and 2 spoons. Since we were eating in the entire time we had to run the very loud dishwasher like 3 times. Huge waste of water. For those of you who ask why we didn't hand wash and dry... well there was only one dish drying towel and very little soap. We washed by hand between every meal but ran the dishwasher after dinner. Big time waste of water. Sorry. There was also one old arthritic recliner recliner in the room that reclined okay but required a WWE wrestler to close.
Checkin was also a bit confusing as they didnt mention a daily deposit of $25 per day in the booking process or before they gave me my total at the counter. The staff was otherwise very kind and we did enjoy...
Read moreThe front desk team and the rooms were nice the first time I stayed and booked via Priceline, but I booked the next weekend and the General Manager Debra was quite literally the worst experience I've EVER had. The room we booked wasn't available yet she insinuated that she would ensure I wouldn't get a refund when I told her the room wasn't sufficient and we needed the studio suite with 2 rooms we booked. She advised Priceline messed up but there are literally pictures of the appropriate room attached with 3 differentprice optionsand we booked the most expensiveoption but were offeredthe least expensive. The worst part was her attitude, she shouldn't be in ANY customer service capacity Bex she doesn't care that after spending over $700 for 2 nights I wanted the room I booked and paid in advance for. Her complete lack of empathy was one of my worst experiences. She spoke to me as if we were enemies not like I was a customer and I would HOPE that the IHG group hotels doesn't allow this kind of behavior but I definitely won't be back. The front desk team was incredibly apologetic and I feel bad they have to work for a person like that. I filed a complaint for false advertisement with Priceline and was given an additional refund which tells me I'm definitely not the only person who has experienced this poor customer service since they usually only refund you what you paid and I was offered compensation for the ridiculous treatment I experienced quickly and efficiently. If you don't care what kind of room you get the hotel was adequate but if it does, definitely don't expect help from their management team and unfortunately the staff at the front can't override...
Read moreThis campus is a gem. We've stayed in many IHG rooms over the years and this one shines. And corporate, if you are reading this, Donna and John rock.
We needed the accessible room with the roll in shower. We booked through IHG and were assured we would have the one room on this campus with a roll in shower. Fast forward to two weeks before we were to arrive and Donna calls me. IHG did not note that we NEEDED the roll in shower so she took it upon herself to confirm that with me before booking someone else into the room ahead of us. I had intended to call the Fort Collins campus to confirm we would have the room as we have had the accessible room given away out from underneath us in the past, (again corporate, if you are reading this, this is a problem with your overall system and you need to work on it).
As for the room, practically brand new, well stocked with kitchen supplies, HVAC that works like a charm, spacious and very comfortable. Our smoke alarm starting chirping one morning and they sent us John. He replaced the batteries then stood around for about 5 minutes to make sure that was all that was needed. It wasn't and so glad he waited. He then replaced the entire unit and we were fine but it was so refreshing to have someone take the time to be sure the problem had been solved.
I totally recommend this campus and in fact have booked us back into it next month. You can't go wrong...
