Blackjack Pizza & Salads — Restaurant in Fort Collins

I ordered online using the OrderUp website. I got my order confirmation and waited for my order. This was my first time trying BlackJack Pizza so I decided to check out reviews while I waited. Seeing mixed reviews, I decided I was hungry and not to cancel my order. I have had many good experiences through OrderUp and this certainly was a horrific experience.

Around a half an hour later, I got a call from my delivery driver saying she was about five minutes away. She then asked me how to get to my address - I had assumed she knew where she was going. I asked her if she had put my address in google maps because my building has many different entrances and she continued to give me tremendous attitude. While I continued to attempt help her at least find my building, she repeatedly interrupted me. Once she found my building, she waited approximately 1 minute before deciding that it was ok to turn around, not deliver my food, as well as verbally attack me over the phone. I was walking around my building trying to find her when I saw her driving off from the entrance I was heading towards.

By then I had contacted the store and supposedly been connected to a manager, Kenneth Worely. The manager seemed fairly nice and claimed to take care of my refund request; however, he didn't even have any of my information. I brought this to his attention and he apologized and took my information to provide the refund. The charge has since vanished from my records; however, I plan to keep a close eye. While the refund seems to have been made, the manager made it clear he did not want to speak to me any longer. He moved on to say that they were very busy and he had another call to answer.

The service of the driver was 100% unprofessional and the manager didn't seem to care to accommodate for the mistakes made. Do not order from this place if it's an hour before closing time. They won't fulfill your order despite getting notifications that they have accepted your order and that it's being prepared. They also won't notify you that they haven't filled your order. So you're stuck waiting for over an hour only to realize that you won't be getting your food. At which point most other places are closed. This is NOT the first time this has happened. Never got a refund. I try calling. Sometimes they pick up sometimes they don't. I would like to note every time I call it has been during business hours. I try calling the the next day and they tell me to take it up with Door Dash. But Doordash says the order was accepted and successfully delivered. The times that they have picked up they say they never got an order. So I'm out $30+ after waiting for over an hour for food that will never come. This is the only restaurant in town that I have ever had this type of issue with.

I don't know where exactly this issues lies or who is responsible but if Blackjack wants to use a 3rd party delivery service then they need to work out the kinks. I ordered food on 8/18 for delivery and requested the food be left at the door. I also wrote this in the comments to the delivery driver. Apparently, the driver rang the doorbell and I didn't hear it (and I have a smart doorbell and it didn't notify me of a doorbell either, so I'm not sure he did ring the doorbell), so then he called the cops. The food was pre-paid for, with the driver's tip and all. The cops came to my door after the driver left and told me the driver called them. I did not see a missed phone call from the driver, but did have a missed call from the store. I called them back and the manager filled me in, and then the driver came back and rang the doorbell. I cracked the door and asked him to leave it as per the instructions because I have 2 dogs and didn't want to deal with the door.

It seems ridiculous that the driver called the cops when I didn't answer the door, especially since the instructions said to leave it at the door, and the food and tip was already paid for.
