Im begining to think decent asian cuisine is out pf the question in fort collins....the service and portion size was truley amazing but the food was gross all og it swimming in sauce and all sauces were overseasoned....however i will say that the food did not have hair or mold in it and it was hot. The portions were huge. The server jen was truley amazing and artentive even though she was the only server during lunch she made sure we had our food promptly tge chili house thai was so sweet it tasted like syrup....jen quickly apoligized(even tho she didnt need to because she did not cook it) and had a kung pao sauced chili thia made for us promptly. The soup was the highlight of the meal they def. Need to revise thier recipe and pick 1 theme for there resturant. The ceiling is black and white checkered theme clashing with the multicolored outdated walls and floral booths. Tgey also need a cleaning crew theyre is dust above evetywhere and upon leaving ur nose will definitely need a blow. Its a place to eat. But its by no means satisfying. Eggrolls were overcooked only containing raw unseasoned crunchy cabbage...when our server brought our food back the asian lady greeted us for the remainder of our visit with intense glars and nasty looks so much so that myself and lunch company felt uncomfortable and ended up leaving but not before we left that server a 20 dollar tip she deserved it...from now on ill go out east for my Asian cuisine needs fort collins is lacking good taste where this particular cuisine...
Read moreSo I'm not sure what happen but it looks like a tacky bomb went off in this place. Aside from expected traditional decor, one wall is a mirror and the ceiling is not only black and white checker board pattern but three or four tiny "chandeliers" are also scatered about. It's actually sort of comical. The whole place just feels dusty including the horseshoe booth we were sat in. To go on with the tackiness our booth was lined with muted(dirty) pink and blue flowers. It was like eating in different style restaurants from the 80s. Just things previous owners had maybe left behind. Sooo on to the service semi slow but nothing too terrible. I just have to mention the most awkward moment with our waitress. She at one point apologized for my sushi taking a bit of time because "the owner prepares all of the sushi" and apparently was AVOIDING the front of the house due to some regulars who I guess are cheap and hound for discounts. On this particular night after being seated these guest mention not having any money at all to pay for dinner. I ALREADY KNOW TOO MUCH. Oh yeah these people are seated in the booth next to ours. How uncomfortable. I couldn't believe it. So unprofessional. This information should not have been disclosed to our entire table or ANYONE dining. My food is being delayed on account of a cowardly owner? What's that you say? I wouldn't recommend Chili House to anyone. Read moreI’ve just started placing orders over the phone with this restaurant. I do to go orders because I get a short period of time for lunch breaks. The first time I went in there (earlier this week) I arrived at the location. I paid for my food and she said it would be right up. About 10 minutes later I got my food. I asked if there was an issue with the wait. She explained no, but they no longer make the orders when called in. They wait until the customer arrives at the restaurant. She stated they did this because people didn’t show up. Thinking this was a one time thing, I tried the restaurant again (for the last time.
I placed order and arrived at restaurant about 20 minutes later. I gave them my name and she said ok. As she walked back to the kitchen I asked if the food was ready. She stated no it hasn’t been started. I explained I could wait and had to cancel order.
This is really a dumb policy, why take to go orders if you don’t make the food until we arrive. If I had time to sit in the restaurant and wait I would just eat there.
