Nu Grille — Restaurant in Fort Scott

Worst food and service ever... And I mean ever. I am adding photographs. to prove how bad it is... But can't show the photo of my friend out front throwing up Next to the sidewalk because of his chicken fried steak. And the sidewalks were cleaner than the bathrooms.. the chili foot long dogs were not actual footlong Coney dogs but just two green hotdogs next to each other. The Green steamed hotdogs with a sloppy amount of chilly on top . I was hoping the chili would be edible cuz when I saw the hot dogs green color were not edible. I began to find slivers of melted sugar almost like caramel in the chili like it was getting pieces of sugar that they had obviously had thrown into the chili to make it sweet... We received dinner salads.. desert and oth er things that was never wanted but still forced to pay for.. I Put on our Bill I contested the bill... And they only laughed at me... A few minutes later I saw. Our waitress writing down what appeared to be my card number..on a sheet of paper..forcing me to stop the behavior that appeared to be theft.. they are terrible.. go to the bbq place across the street. Save your credit card info.. and barfing on their food and stay...

Almost 85 years ago, Nu Grille (originally named White grill) opened its doors in Fort Scott Kansas. The story of Red McLaughlin's chain of 4 White grill restaurants, and how the now Veteran owned, Nu Grille came to be, is almost as good as the food, but not quite. I can't say enough about the staff, always friendly, and always giving off a teamwork kind of vibe that is so important when preparing amazing food, while the customer sits as close as 3 feet away from the grill. As a veteran, I absolutely love the shirts worn by the employees, displaying an assortment of Nu grille logos on the front, but always GOD BLESS OUR SOLDIERS on the back. As for the food, THEY HAVE REAL HAND CUT FRIES! REAL ONES! They also happen to serve up a cheeseburger that will make you think twice about ever going anywhere else for a burger.(yes they are that good). Ordered a dbl cheeseburger, a dbl southwest burger and a pork tenderloin sandwich with 2 orders of Suzy Qs to go. Told them we wanted buns grilled and NO grilled onions. Was there in 15 mins to pick it up. Girl behind counter seemed confused when I told her I was there to pick up order but finally found a bag and carrier and handed them to me. Thinking I should check order I had a pork tender in the carrier and 3 orders of cold suzyQs in bag. When I pointed this out she told cook and still tried to hand me the bag and carrier. I told her I didnt order this and if I had to wait for the correct order I did not want the old food. I wanted fresh. So waited another 15 minutes and also told them again no grilled onions when asked. I got the right amt of Suzy Qs and sandwiches but I guess in retaliation they put grilled onions on the cheeseburger and burned all the buns. I would give a zero rating but can't. So disappointed.
