Eat here excellent! My entire group was happy, and very filled with the meal š½ļø. Each one of us built her own burrito, which is a great option. It was a little disappointing that they put the onions in when we said no onions but thatās all right. We fish them out. We had extra meat which is only a dollar more. And we each have an extra topping, which is only $.75 more. we ordered a 10 inch burrito. One person ordered a 14 inch burrito. But Iām here to tell you that 10 inch is quite sizable. The food was delicious. There were young male, waiters and female waitresses. But we did not interact with anybody else but young male white waiters. They were very polite, professional, and handle themselves really well. Those two young men will go far in life with the experience that they have at this restaurant. These meals are made from scratch. Because you could have something cooked or you guys a raw vegetable in there. So theyāre not made ahead of time And it also taste as if all the ingredients are just freshly cooked if we order them that way. The restaurant was well decorated. The restaurant was clean. The restrooms were clean. I can see why they have so many high ratings by so many people. I remember this is a small town and just a block up is another well rated Mexican restaurant. But the numbers of ratings werenāt even 1/5 of what this restaurant had. I would say this was the best, Mexican central American restaurant then Iāll be in the state of Kansas. The story is that one came from Mexico, and the other one came from El Salvador. Now in another state, I did a similar restaurant with a similar mix of food. But the portions and the quality of this restaurant is second to none! Thank you for reading this review and please go by there and eat. You know even if youāre driving down the Missouri side which is a short little detour and nice drive at Naveda to head west. I really like how and they printed literature on the back of their menu they believe in the American dream and the American dream has worked for them and the American dream is very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am EXTREMELY hard to please as far as my dining experience, I have had some exceptional experiences to compete with. This is one of them. I came at 2pm to catch them off guard. Having never been, I didnt know what to expect. I don't like to base my reviews around predicted traffic, but off raw data, most often off peek hours. The staff all were friendly, talkative and easy to work with getting seated. Taking our order was as expected and despite our server being a younger gentlemen, he for the most part was on point. The food did take quite a while to prepare, however, given times and what we ordered (35$ in food) I understood. It was easy to not focus on it with the amazing chips and salsa they provide. Absolutely delicious. I have never said I'd get full on just chips and salsa, but today, I did. The crunch of the fried chips, the cilantro and garlic pops in that salsa all to create the best chip/dip combo I've had complimentary. Truth be told, I could dine and dash on just those and water.. but it got even better! I was actually deeply surprised with everything I ate. The development of flavors in everything I tried was truly authentic. Lastly, the restrooms were exceptionally clean. Thank you for this. It may not seem that important, but, people notice. Great lunch and will definitely be back. (UPDATE) Have been back maybe 25 times and counting. The best food in town hands down. The staff are absolutely exceptional at making it feel like you just stopped in for a visit...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis appears to be a small Mexican food restaurant, but when you go in you find a lot of seating. We were having a family event(30 people) and we did make reservations, we used only the back room leaving the front for regular customers. They have a very nice menu with lots of options and weekday lunch specials. They are located very close to the Old Fort Scott historic site, a one minute walk and an excellent way to walk off your lunch. The restaurant is in old downtown which is quite vibrant with many shops. There is plenty of free parking, just watch the one way streets. Everyone that ate was very happy with their food. I can't remember getting more compliments on our choice of venue, even my sister in law was happy! I can't vouch for all the food, but I had cheese enchiladas with pulled beef and red sauce on top, Rice and guacamole salad. It was outstanding. My wife had enchiladas, beef, cheese, chicken... with guacamole, she was also happy. They serve large portions so go hungry or take some home. But what makes a restaurant is the staff. These folks were just outstanding! It wasn't just one person, they worked as a team. They were very friendly and gracious. Quick to refill your drink and bring you whatever you needed. Definitely a 20% tip place. I highly recommend this casual...
