This is affordable!!!! Places to visit and stay are astronomical in pricetag lately especially in this area, Destin is just abounding in growth. Yet... Do you feel; welcomed, transported to southern charm, elegant veiws, exclusive luxury all by walking into your condo? I doubt it...most places do not even touch this pearl of warmth.

Stay here, spend your hard earned money on historical elegance and keep something that's a pioneering effort of individual skills and love of others afloat. This is carved out of American values and hard work and daily intent to give to those in need of a vacation a bit more, a bit other, the French call it "unknown something" I cannot spell french well, so I just mumble it.

I made notes. Because I want one of these "a bed n breakfast", a place to welcome friends also a place where I want to meet the people who are staying there too.

Beautiful private girlfriend get away, wonderful business retreat, couple on honeymoon/romantic holiday. Better service and less traffic the a hotel, incredible surroundings, very attractive location. Don't ignore this elegant little corner of the Emerald Coast. Breakfast fair is light and you can handpick a variety of sweet or savory dishes. Coffee service also.

Five beaches within 10 minutes/2 miles. Best restaurants within 6 miles, solitude in the tourist area without the drive.

I think girl friends would pour a margarita on the porch and talk about life's achievements and problems, husbands would say those incredible things wives adore, while wives would giggle at those strong powerful loving men they decided to stand next to for life. Come in, sit awhile. I stayed in the middle of June, it was like a Faulkner novel with a better ending.

This B and B is less B and B and more like a stately Southern Inn. We were so delighted by our experience there! This Inn is beautiful from top to bottom, spacious, incredibly peaceful and quiet. The common areas are plentiful, comfortable and inviting. There is a beautiful porch that is the perfect place for a quiet breakfast, relaxed reading time, or getting work done. My husband and I were both working remotely while we were there, and the WIFI was fast and worked perfectly, never a hitch. Martha’s breakfasts were always something to look forward to… French toast, a variety of different egg souffles throughout the week that were always delicious - some with prosciutto and parmesan, others on a bed of tasty cheese grits, or with potatoes and bacon; they were always delicious. The best treat though was her blueberry cobbler with fresh clotted cream; it was INCREDIBLE!||||Each room is private, spacious, decorated beautifully. The bed was very comfortable with fresh cotton sheets, ample pillows etc. Best of all from the bed we had a stunning view of the Sound. ||After exploring in the hectic environs of Fort Walton and Destin it was always sooo nice to come home to the peacefulness of Martha’s. All of our interactions throughout the week with Martha and her son Bill were welcoming and helpful. If we needed anything, they were there to answer questions, but also we were given our privacy, which for us is the perfect balance. I know that most of Martha’s guests are repeat customers and I can sure understand why. We will definitely be back; and I may bring my sisters for a girls’ trip next time.
