I was sad to have to write a review of this nature. I generally don’t write them however the circumstance seemed necessary. Me and my wife are loyalty members at Best Western and had made a decision to stay at this hotel with our one year old son after a business trip I had to make in the area. Everything seemed pretty nice when we checked in and the gentleman that checked us in was quite polite. We had finally got settled in the room and I went to use the restroom and look at the shower and saw black mold on the ceiling above the shower. At this time it was about 1056 and my family still needed to ear dinner so I left and on the way out I requested to have another room and the gentlemen still allow us to change rooms nicely but I requested to do it when I returned from picking up food which took a little longer because we had the find food(we are from out of town) and the construction that is in area and he explained that was fine because they had a plenty of rooms(I had expressed my concern of room availability for after I returned).
When we had returned I had began to move from 264 to 306 which was on two completely different sides of the property and though the gentleman had already complimented me with a late check out of 12 I asked the lady that replaced him for a little longer of a grace period due to the lateness of the room transfer along with the distance to allow for me and my family to recuperate well in that I finally got finished with everything and settled into the second room at 250. The young lady explained I would have to ask in the morning which was no problem. When I got to my room however I noticed the door was messed up and seemed to have a distinctive gap between the door leaf and the frame which made me and my family feel uncomfortable but I told my wife I was too tired and didn’t feel like changing rooms again so I stuck the ironing board under the handle for an added level of sanity.
In the morning there was another young lady that I had to deal with and ask for the manager but she explained he wouldn’t come in until later which was fine though unfortunately while I was explaining to her why I wanted to speak to the manager she seemed not to care and a bit bothered with my concern which was very disheartening to see from a hotels front desk representative. She gave me reasons she felt were justified in which I choose to save the rest of my conversation for the manager. At this time I am still waiting for him to get to the property. Read morei’ll start with the room, the toilet is in a room with the shower separate from the sink and all (at least the room i was in) and it had obviously not been cleaned very well at all, there was hair around the bottom of the toilet and brown stuff in like every corner of the bathroom, but honestly it’s nothing compared to the service! the second night we stayed we wanted to add another night and since we had booked through a third party site they couldn’t do anything about the room, they tried charging us an extra 30$ for a early check in fee when we asked if we could just add the room through them, and when we didn’t and just got another night we had to leave for 5 hours and come back, we went to the desk 3 times the night before trying to figure it out and no one had information until the morning, i’m not sure if he’s the manager or not but the middle aged bald employee who was there today when we checked out came and knocked on our door at 10:45 to make sure we were checking out, 15 minutes before checkout time, very unprofessional!!! i would definitely not stay here even if you had nowhere to go, the people are rude and do not care about your stay!!! Read moreI have never made a review in my life but this I had to do. I had just drove 6+ hours to this place for work and it was the best location for me. I have never been to a best western so I didn’t really have any expectations. As we arrived into our first room my fiancé saw a live roach so we went back down and discreetly got another room and the very next room had a cricket and multiple hairs all in the shower so we went back down and at this point it’s pretty late and I’m very tired and asked for another room and asked about a discount at the least and they refused and just switched me rooms and on the way to this room I also see about an 1” 1/2 long roach dead on the hallway floor and now I’m genuinely disgusted and this room that I’m currently in there is hair in the shower and 2 little black bugs in the tub. I’ve never had this bad of an experience in my life they need to get an entire new cleaning crew or even maby more people to clean but either way I will never ever stay at a best western ever again no matter...
