The room sizes and the staff are the plus at this location. The staff is very friendly and really tries to please you. However, there are a lot of things not so nice that need mentioning so that the hotel is aware. When staying there I saw bugs in the bathroom that appeared like cockroaches. I am from the Northwest and have never seen them, so I was not exactly aware of a cockroach appearance. However, I saw tiny bugs too, which now, I believe were bed bugs :(. I checked the bed area and did not see any, but I did not think to look under tables and in the couch or behind the couch. My friend stayed with me for a night and had bites all over her in the morning, I did not, but I might be immune to bug bites. I took all measures in order to prevent these terrible bugs from entering my own home when I arrived home by plastic bagging all of my items, throwing directly in the laundry, and spraying my house, top to bottom with bed bug killing spray. As this is not the hotel's fault, the room to the right of us was noisy all night, my friend and I thought that there might be a domestic dispute. When I woke up the next morning, I realized it was a lady screaming very abusively at her child. This occurred from what I am aware from 10pm to at least 11pm and from 6am to 10:15am, as a mother myself, I am very sad for this child. At about 12:30 am on a Friday night, someone thought it would be funny to pull the fire alarm. My friend and I rushed out of the hotel with our PJ'S on, very embarrassing. The false alarm might not have happened, but anyone can just pass through the doorway to the elevator from any hotel, the staff doesn't really check out the guests. Not to mention, the hotel across the street is very frighting and there are bad people hanging out in the parking lot. Very upsetting. As the staff is nice, I would happily pay an extra 20 dollars a night to stay somewhere else. Do not recommend and would not stay here again. The results of the lack of consideration for the safety of guests and cleanliness is unfortunate because I will be returning to the area frequently due to business. However, I conclude that Microhotel and Suites will not be getting anymore of my business, ever, and I will be avoiding it in any of the...
Read moreUpon arriving at the property, there was torn curtains and broken window in one of the rooms. Figured a guest got rowdy. After I checked in, I noticed several things wrong with my third floor room. There was a used q-tip by the bed, the smoke detector was hanging by wires, dirty towels, the toilet wouldn't flush, and the toilet paper holder was 4-5 feet away from the toilet. When I went to o form front desk of the issues, I discovered that the elevator had broken, so I had to take the stairs down. When I reached the desk and told them all this, the girl was apologetic and appeared to be flustered dealing with not just my issues and the elevator, but also issues with other guests. After I explained that I had physical issues that prevent me from climbing that many stairs often, she gave me the last first floor room available. By this point the elevator had started working again, so I went to gather by bags. On my way back to my new room, I stepped into the elevator and pressed the button for the first floor, the doors closed, and alarms went off. Luckily I was able to get the door open and took the stairs down one more time. Decided to relax by watching tv only to find that I could not turn on the cable and there was a message in French on the screen. At this point I gave up and went out for the night. I would have gone to another hotel, but my card had already been charged. All seemed fine for the rest of the evening. The next day, when I tried to reenter my room, the key no longer worked and had to be reset. After I spent the day out, came back to the room and since the AC worked so well and the temps were dropping outside, I decided to turn on the heat to take the chill out of the air, only to find that the heat did not work at all. So spent a night with no air circulating and slightly too cold to be comfortable. Needless to say I will not be going back to this hotel ever again and will be contacting corporate about at least a partial refund for...
Read moreI put one star only because you have to put something in order to leave a review. Never in my life have I been treated so poorly. This place is horrible. Do not spend your money. Do not go there. The two people at the front desk were horrible . A man and woman couple I was told my sister could not bring me food to my room. I was told if we had a guest we were to go outside and talk to them in the parking lot. This made me nervous because everyone was going outside to talk to people . I worried our vehicle would be broken into. So derelicts and hooligans outside near my vehicle all night long seriously not a joke. I don’t understand what was going on here. The lady started screaming at me threaten to call the police and I’m looking at her like what on earth are you talking about? My sister brought me some Chinese food along with my seven year old nephew. What do you think was going on here I cannot believe this place is in business. I cannot believe these people are running the front desk . My boyfriend got the room As a surprise, it had a heart Jacuzzi tub and was ment to be romantic . Instead, we got treated with nothing but disrespect. My boyfriend was told he had to pay an extra $15 for me to be in the room. He was then told he had to give a $60 cash deposit they would not put it on his card. It had to be cash that he had to go to the store and get cash. We already paid 100 and something dollars for the room so if we didn’t comply we would’ve lost money , time, energy, etc. Its not OK to be a guest in this Great country of ours. A country that my sister did three tours United States Army Iraq to be treated so horribly what the heck has America come to? I seriously wish I would’ve got it on video. It was insane. Your chins would’ve been on the floor. I don’t know how else to say it or to describe it except complete and total shock like is this really happening I thought I was in...
