Overtime Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Yeah, its smokey, its a BAR, but it looked like with its varied menu and lot of sports on multiple screens it might be my landing spot for the next few day. i'm working a trade show in Fort Worth and staying nearby.

I sat down at the bar since I'm by myself and don't want to take up a table. In a short amount of time a bar person came over and i asked for a menu. Perfect opportunity for her to say, "would you like something to drink while you're checking out the menu?" I thought she would come by and ask what i wanted to drink. Instead she engaged in a lengthy conversation with a couple of "regulars", made herself busy with a few tasks.All of this taking at least 10 if not 15 , or 20 minutes. Finally she comes over in my direction. i think great. I'll get something to drink and get my order in. NOT. She checked with the couple right next to me without even looking my direction. Then she went to her right for something and then walked right past me without even looking my direction.

At this time I had had enough of being ignored. There was another bar person at the bar, but she obviously thought i was waited on and did not come near me.

Honestly, i don't know why i was ignored. Maybe i didn't look like a local. Maybe i was over the median age for this bar/grill.

I do realize that a "single" isnt going to spend as much as a couple but since my son made his living as a waiter for many years, I generally tip well. Her loss.

I did ask a waitress on my way out if i looked out of place or if I would appear to be a person that shouldn't get service. She said I looked like a nice person.

MUST READ!!!!!!!!!!!WOOOOOW!!!!!Horrible experience worst ever had at a bar and that's saying a whole lot!!! Was having a good time and the waitress came up and took mine and my wife's drink order after spending over $80 dollars another waitress came up to our table telling not asking me to start tipping her sister that has been waiting on us I told her that I had already planned to leave her a tip that it was kinda rude of her to come up to me and demand such a thing so her and her sister stopped waiting on us and just kept passing by as if they didn't see us any more then I had seen an extra charge on my Bank of America account for $35 dollars which not one of my receipt charges that I had ordered so I immediately went to find the manager cause I knew this was a tip she took out on her own! As I was walking up to the manager he was grabbing her butt while her and her sister were standing beside him I without hesitation explained the experience and my situation while confronting the waitress who was repeated herself saying I'm a liar I had already had my mobile banking app opened where I showed him the charge very unprofessional he replied with well I'm sorry but this is a bar and he didn't really know what he could do I walked out that piece of crap bar and will never...

I'm not trying to be an over dramatic jerk however I walked in and it took the bartender at least 30 minutes to serve me and that was only because I asked for a drink, I came here to get some food as well but couldn't get their attention I wasn't the only one in the bar however there were no tables full of people literally this was on a Sunday too, there was a group of people who already had their drinks sitting at the bar and a couple of obnoxious dudes passively flirting with the bartender, I just wanted my food and to leave but I didn't get food so I left the only thing I got was a beer, and the shots are way overpriced $10 for one shot of tequila. On my way out a random lady from the group that was sitting left of me tried to give me one of her drinks that she had paid for telling me up front that it wasn't roofied, obviously not suspicious, and then the bartender who I was trying to get the attention of agreed with the random lady that it was okay for me to take the shot.
