We really wanted this to be a 5 star review. When we checked in, the staff was friendly and professional. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, plenty of pillows. However, we had the unlucky room next to a room of a very loud family of gypsies. The first night we got almost no sleep. They were up with a screaming baby, who they randomly yelled 'shut up' at while cranking their tv louder, until 2 a.m. We complained to management the next day, and they were already aware of the issue. They said to call downstairs if we had the same problem that night. Upon returning to our room that evening after a long day in San Diego, we were hoping to relax. Unfortunately, the family next door was at it again. Screaming, pounding the walls, tv so loud we couldn't use our phones because we couldn't hear the person we were talking to. After we heard their neighbor on the other side beating on their door to ask them to be quiet, we called downstairs. The hotel did send somebody up to knock and ask them to quiet down. It worked for 20 minutes or so, then they were back at it until 1 a.m. The Frustrating part of all of this is each time we complained, the hotel staff knew exactly what room we were talking about. Management and staff were both well aware of the problem, yet we weren't offered another room and these people weren't asked to leave. We really did like this hotel, and had it not been for what I described above, we would have...
Read moreWe visited over Easter for family that lives in area. Room was at end of hall on first floor, very convenient for parking and no neighbor on side toward Pizza Hut. Little refrigerator doesn't have freezer section, kept everything cold. Coffee pot is small, but 24 hour coffee in lobby and breakfast room opens 7am on weekend and 6am during week. Bed was really comfy, loved the choice of soft or firm pillows for each of us. Staying in room with teens can be a challenge, the extra pillows helped. Wifi was quick, no password, no problems hooking up on multiple devices. Should have asked for extra luggage racks to keep things tidy. Breakfast was good, waffles, two kinds of omelets, sausage (bacon on sunday), cereal, boiled eggs, yogurt, pastries, juice, coffee, large tv, well staffed and refilled often. Also nice room for games in afternoon. Ice machine by elevator. We didn't use pool as spent at relatives. Really good restaurant just up and across highway called The Eatery. Reasonable and large portions. Also grocery store just across highway on foothills blvd, Frye's, super store, big deli, bakery, etc. And 99cent store has tons of fresh fruit/veggies too, big store. Da Boyz pizza very good also! This was good base for our family just 1 mile from relatives. Very clean, didn't see maids, always returned to clean room. :) My idea...
Read moreThe rooms were clean and nice. The beds were super comfortable. The breakfast in the morning is another subject. Biscuits and gravy tasted good, but the biscuits were kept in a crockpot sweating and were very soft, bordering on soggy from the lid being on. It was a challenge to pick them up with the tongs without shredding them. The eggs were disgusting so didn’t even attempt to eat them and the bacon was completely raw. When I mentioned this to the host working the breakfast station, all she would say is it comes in pre-cooked. This is a common occurrence at a lot of hotels. I always manage to stay at where the bacon is raw. I find it hard to believe that I’m the only person that has heard of trichinosis. Or the fact that pork is quite possibly the worst food you could eat undercooked. It’s funny that anywhere you go. There are labels stating about eating raw or undercooked, eggs or pork yet apparently that doesn’t apply to the staff at hotels. I should’ve taken a picture to add to this post, but they’re gonna merely state that the packaging said that it was fully cooked. It was not and when I mentioned it to the host, a couple of other guests made the exact same comment to me. I travel to this location, a couple times a year and I will stay there again just for the beds. But I will avoid...
