3-16 I am updating my experience. Every time I come it's the same girl at the counter but today it was a different girl with a bad attitude since I walked in. She had an attitude about a gift card my friend had left me here for recommending him the place. I asked for it and she didn't even look immediately said I don't know what you are talking about. And wanted me to order. I said you were working when he bought it. She again said I don't know until the kitchen lady came over and said it's right here. She then got my order wrong. The whole time huge attitude. Made me feel uncomfortable. Hope she won't be here next time or it won't be my favorite place anymore and I definitely will not recommend this place anymore. I love this place so hopefully, that changes
My food had so much flavor in every bite, I got the ceviche with chips and fish tacos with corn tortilla. I ordered one fish taco and she accidentally made two and let me know she gave me an extra one. The two salsas they gave me were so tasty, the right amount of spice in both. One was a chipotle mayo concoction, and the other tomato Chile salsa. I eat out daily all across the country, I just did a 32 hour drive cross country and I can say hands down best food I've had in a long time!! The prices were more than reasonable, the fish tacos were big! The service was spectacular, the young lady at the register was nice/helpful and courteous and had a smile on her face the whole time. The ambiance, Spanish music not too loud. The only thing parking is limited I had to park at the gas station. To think I almost left because the gas station was packed and the only parking said that I could be stuck in the spot for over 45 min due to it being possibly blocked off by the gas trucks. I waited for someone to move about 5-10 min. I hope to return soon!! I might just road trip down there again just to eat here, so worth it. (Didn't get photo of...
Read moreI’m usually not the type of person who leaves reviews but my family and I felt it was important to write one. Like most others, my family and I always enjoyed the food from the Las Palapas that was previously located at the big curve. Now that they’re permanently closed, we’re forced to go to the one in the foothills. Thankfully my wife works in the foothills, so she was able to place an order in person 15 mins before the kids and I arrived. Once we were all there, we just waited patiently since we knew it had only been 15 mins. By then, more and more people were coming in to place orders. Waiting additional 15mins after the initial 15 mins, my wife decided to ask the cashier politely about our order. The cashier then told my wife, in a very rude and cold tone, that she doesn’t know anything but the orders will come out in the order they were placed. My wife not wanting to escalate matters or cause a scene said ok no worries and returned to us where we continued to wait patiently. And we waited and waited, an additional 15 mins had gone by, meaning a total of 45 mins had gone by (for some quesadillas). It wasn’t until we witnessed all of the other customers who placed their orders after us receive theirs. That’s when we said enough was enough. We politely asked the cashier for a refund and she said ok but a careless manner. No type apology or sympathy was given. She didn’t care that they forgot about our order. In other words, she who claimed to be the manager, did not care one bit about my family’s time or loyalty to the company. They lost a loyal customer because of a careless manager who made no attempts to apologize or make any effort to make this bad...
Read moreThis place is so hit or miss. I’ve been going here for YEARS and the quality has declined heavily. With the staff they've hired recently I have been disappointed and will be on yet ANOTHER hiatus from this place. Last night I went to place an order when they told me they were out of flour tortillas and guacamole, despite the lack of ingredients I placed my order anyways. Come to find out, they were also out of tortilla chips? I was not informed of this until i had opened my to-go order at home. I paid $55 dollars for two taco meals and five carne asada tacos on the side, without chips, guac, and I had to go back inside to get the regularly included fish sauce that goes with the fish taco combo I ordered. I was originally hoping to place my order over the phone, but was then put on hold for nearly ten minutes, I arrived to the physical location before anyone had got back to me. There were few cars out front and only two people inside that had already been helped enjoying their meals. The gentlemen that had originally answered my call had AirPods in and was having what seemed to be a personal conversation about “munchie meals”. I figured this was the reason I was on hold for so long, why my order didn’t get taken, and why I was having to order inside. All of these factors combined, are leading me to not want to return even though I am a...
