First, this was my second choice as my first one was sold out. This hotel was okay for what it was. I can only assume it is under construction of some sort with all the blue tape on the walls. The fitness room and pool were also not available. Anyway, we booked a room with two queen beds and we got there at 10pm and they gave us a king size bed and a couch hideaway. We only found this out after getting the key to our room and walked in and see one bed and a couch. We walked back down to the desk and she tells us that's all they have available. They didn't bother to tell us beforehand about this? Not even after we paid and walked to our room? No phone calls early in the day for the heads up or anything. So with it being late and us being tired we just took it. ~ FYI: Customer Service Needs Training For That Part ~ •We go to our room, do all the bed checks, etc (no bugs). So along with that pro, here are the rest of the PROS: •AC was cold •nice housekeeping lady •Breakfast toaster works great •Lots of other options for food nearby (breakfast is 'eh' here at the hotel) →→Now the CONS→→ •I do believe I may have gotten the last parking spot when I arrived. •No refills made on shower essentials(picture) before the room was occupied -had to stop housekeeper lady and ask her for it. •The walls and floors are paper thin, apparently enough for someone (prior guests) else to knock dents into it(picture). Also gappy(pictures). I couldn't sleep much with all the noise from cars outside and then the people inside. •The lamp outlet was loose. Even their own alarm clock didn't go in and stay put. (Fire hazard?) •The cabinet to the fridge compartment slammed shut every time if you don't pay attention to gently shutting it. •Bathroom tub fixture came off when you used it. •Suspiciously bigger hole than needs to be for detector on wall(picture). •Breakfast options are limited, no spray was available for the waffle maker. (I used butter). Then I went to Tim Hortons down the road. All in all: I will make sure to book my first choice next time.

The first room that we checked into smelled strongly of pets, but we asked the front desk to put us in a different room and they did without any issue. The carpet was torn up and a couple of spots, but for the price that we paid it was a nice room and I would come back. Honestly, you can't beat the free Hampton inn breakfast :-) On the constructive feedback front, I do want to say that the lady in front of me was checking in with a full size dog and that they charged her a $75 pet fee. My suggestion is to use that extra $75 to actually deep clean the room that people take pets into. It's very least you should be deodorizing it, and if that doesn't help you're going to need to clean the carpets, upholstery and wash the bed covers.

Nice hampton inn. Large parking lot with good lighting. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Pool is under construction. They stop serving breakfast at 9am on the weekend, not 10 like a lot of hotels do. Pretty close to the interstate and fuel. Red lobster next door. Short drive to other restaurants. I wouldn't hesitate to come back and stay here again

Check-in process was easy, we did it on the Hilton app as we have stayed here many times before. Of course, we had our arms full of luggage and the back door would not open with the phone app. We tried it six times with two phones. Every other door worked fine. In the last two years every time we have stayed here the "pool has been closed” They blamed Covid, they blamed pool problems, they seem to blame everything but themselves. Call them first if the pool means anything to you. All other hotels I have stayed at pools are open and have been. The room was ok, except the coffee pot was next to the toilet. Who decided that was a good idea? The breakfast times have been changed to end at 9:00am instead of 10:00am even on the weekends. The breakfast was empty and out of food for over an hour. I felt bad for the food preparer. She only brought out three omelets and there were 25 people lined up waiting for food. She definitely needed help on the weekend. My main complaint with the hotel was the management lied to us. On our last night the air conditioner stopped working. We were staying on the 3rd floor, and it was over 80 degrees in our room. Hampton has a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so I asked for our money back for the last night of the three that we stayed. We booked with the Hilton Honors app. The manager told us it was not possible for her to refund us. We would need to call the corporate complaint number to get reimbursed for our final night. We called corporate and they asked us why the hotel did not reimburse us? We told them what they said, and she said “that is not true, the hotel is the only one that can reimburse your credit card. We will now have to mail you a check for the reimbursement". After 45 minutes on the phone with corporate we are hoping we get our check. One last note was, we were sitting in the lobby and heard loud banging from the floor above. I ask the desk attendant if that was normal at 9:00pm on a Sunday night. She said, "oh there is a contractor up there doing work." I said wow that is strange 9:00pm on a Sunday night of a holiday weekend. Then we saw the contractor come down with his bug sprayer. We then realized it was the Bed Bug company. We did not see any in our room, because I always check. But you should definitely keep your eyes open for them if...

HERE'S THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY.

THE GOOD: I understand accidents happen. This accident was....a water issue that caused the ENTIRE LOBBY to become soaked WITH WATER. Maybe some kid placed a lighter under one of the Emergency sprinkler systems and has set it off??? However the emergency sprinkler systems were set off, it went EVERYWHERE IN THE LOBBY. The front desk took it, the carpet was completely saturated, the floors were flooded, what a mess! It looked like Denis the Menace pulled one if his pranks. When we arrived, the fire partment were already on scene to help resolve the issue. All in all, it was just a freak accident ( I think ) but at least the entire hotel staff were working all night and morning to help clean up all that mess. The rooms were slightly under quality but at least it was quite.

THE BAD: Quality of the rooms weren't the best but they weren't horrific either ( Not motel 6 quality). The wallpaper were cracking and peeling, the bathrooms were molding and the carpet smelled a little ( not horribly), kinda like... you knew plenty of people just came from the pool and threw their wet clothes on the carpet over night.

THE UGLY: I have a habit of quickly flipping hotel mattresses over to inspect for bed bugs. To be fair, I didn't see any nor evidence of bed bug activities. But, I woke up in the morning with 2 or 3 bites on my foot/ ankle. Could've been mosquitos, maybe a tiny spider or bed bugs, I don't know for sure but I can speculate bed bugs were the culprit. Also, Despite the emergency sprinkler systems going off on the lobby, Despite the rooms were a little beat and breakfast wasn't served... they didn't want to offer a discount for our troubles. You'd think they'd offer some sort of accommodation to help keep our business but they refused.

Conclusion: "Meh" rooms "Meh" service "Meh" location If you need a bed on the quicks... go for it but don't expect to be impressed...
