My husband and I are truck drivers and our truck broke down near Fresno so we needed a decent place to stay that wouldn't break the bank too badly. We chose this facility because it wasn't too far from the Peterbilt Dealership that is working on our truck, and it has a Starbucks practically next door. We are both members of the Marriott rewards program and that also played a part in our decision to stay here. I am very glad we chose this facility and didn't move to another one when we thought there would be no available rooms over the Memorial Day weekend. We have been unfortunate to be broken down for 11 days as of this writing, but we've been fortunate to be at this hotel. The rooms are clean and well cared for and the staff are outstanding! They have made our unfortunate demise a more pleasing experience. The cleaning staff are amazing and will help you with anything you might need. The breakfast staff are always cheerful and are always keeping the buffet stocked and well cared for. Now for the front desk personel, they are an amazing group of people and very happy to help you with anything you might need day or night. Our favorite person that has helped us immensly and has bent over backwards to make our experience at this hotel go smoothly was Francisco. He is such a joy to see in the mornings and is so helpful. Everyone that works at this Fairfield have made our stay here go smoothly and have made us feel like old friends. Now, about the rooms. The king suites are fairly large, and aren't true suites, but they do the job of separating the sleeping area and the tv area/living room. We love the blinds on the windows in this facility as they do a great job of darkening the room if you need it to be dark, or just letting in enough light with the "sheer" blind. They really are wonderful and I wish/hope all hotels would do this with their windows. Since this is a newish hotel there are a lot of outlets (something that is usually lacking in older hotels) and they have USB outlets in the desk area and on the clock next to the bed. The bedding is divine. The bed is soft with a tad bit of firmness, but not too much. The suites have no tubs but large walking showers with sliding glass doors, which I would rather have in a hotel. The double queen rooms have a bathtub. By the way, this hotel has soft water and it's wonderful, if you've ever had to deal with hard water, you'll understand this. In the king suite there is a medium sized sectional couch that turns into a spare bed if you need it. The desk can be moved around the room if you need to and there are two tv's available in the suites, one in the "living" room and one in the bedroom. The rooms have a mini-fridge, a single serve coffee maker, and a microwave. There is a laundry available on the 2nd floor if you are here long enough to need to do laundry like we did. They sell tide and bounce at the desk if you need it. There is a swimming pool with handi-able access, which I think is mandatory in any hotel today that has a pool. There isn't a lot of food choices nearby, but there is a Starbucks, a Little Caesar's Pizza and a Quizno's on the other side of the Best Western Hotel that is next door. You can order food from Door Dash and Uber Eats, that's what we did while here. Even though we have been unfortunate to be broken down, we have been very fortunate to be able to stay at this facility. The staff have made our stay here feel painless, and if we are ever in this area again I would definitely stay here again. I would highly recommend staying at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Fresno Yosemite...
Read moreAfter researching reviews for Fresno, landed here based on the positive reviews and glad I touched down. Highlight: The breakfast; a mix of variety day to day; proteins of eggs, bacon, sausage; plus waffles maker, cereal, muffins, oatmeal with toppings/nuts etc.., milk, juices. All better than your hotel standards most places. Drawback: they stop providing food by 9am. The rooms are nice and clean; my first floor stay was quiet except for the cleaning crew in the hallway in the morning which seems par for the course at most hotels; make sure to put that do not disturb on your door to get extra sleep and relaxation. Huge plus is the fast internet speed - see pict even over wifi; us business travelers are all about working and eating; plus sleep TV was modern and swiveled to allow you to enjoy while working at the desk-space or while eating. I know it might be nit pick'y but the alarm clock was easy to manage and functional which is a plus also. The work/dining area in room was on wheels and worked perfect for end of day continued work load in addition to early morning work. (I work too much) Restroom was big and had plenty of towels and BIG plus to whoever choose the shampoo/soap/conditioner supply; top notch, think the shampoo had tea tree in it; makes your head warm....that's a good thing right....least it was for me. Kitchen area/microwave/mini fridge was usable (pro tip, fridge shuts off after 2 hours and you have reset it) Staff was nice and accommodating Booking the room online with points situation was a little confusing and concerning due to having to buy some sort of gift card to then apply to the rental...really unnecessarily strange and bothersome...DEFINITELY needs to be fixed. 2 other hotels exist within 30 ft of this hotel if your looking to price shop, seem a little less nice from the exterior.
Price here higher than others in the area with good reviews 3 day stay Pricing (Wed-Fri) w/tax etc: $200 night 1, $200 night 2, $167 night 3. All in all, a good stay at a nice hotel about 10 mins from...
Read moreThe newness of the hotel design is lovely. Friendly and efficient desk staff (for the most part - see below), and a cozy room. Thank you for having some breakfast items out before 6am (when breakfast officially starts) as many flights from Fresno Airport leave at or before 6am. However, there were a few issues. First, while I very much appreciate the reduction of bleach - especially on bedsheets - there were clear remnants of cologne/hair product scents from previous guests on the sheets. These types of scents, of course, are very distinct from scents present in detergent or other laundry products. I detected at least 4 different scents, and when I turned in my sleep, a fresh waft of scent would come up again, which negatively impacted sleep quality.
Second, there were 4 short, black hairs in the shower stall, approx 1 - 1.5 inches each, which I noticed while showering (I have long, blonde hair). Hairs do not bother me that much - but it does make me wonder how clean the room actually is?
Third, I called down 90 minutes before my scheduled airport shuttle was to depart, as I was pushing time in order to get some work done in my room. Staff confirmed my shuttle time for 8:10am. When I showed up downstairs at 8:10, they said my reservation had been cancelled, and name had been crossed off the shuttle reservation list (?) I then had to wait another 10 minutes for the driver to return. This was quite stressful and, as I said, I'd already pushed the time. Would recommend moving away from a "paper" system, as these seem to invite human error. Thank you for the opportunity to offer feedback - these issues aside, we stay at Marriott whenever possible, and we have noticed the positive changes...
