Ramada by Wyndham Fresno Northwest January 2025 - Review
Overall Rating: 6/10 ⭐⭐⭐☆☆
Pros:
Adequate Room Space: The rooms offer sufficient space and are well-equipped with essential amenities such as a mini fridge and microwave. Exercise Equipment: The fitness area includes a new treadmill in good working order, which is perfect for cardio workouts. Friendly Staff: The staff is generally friendly and accommodating. Gabby, in particular, was very helpful, promptly addressing my request for a room cleaning and even going out of her way to replace my key card. Clean Rooms: The rooms are cleaned upon request, and the staff ensures they are well-maintained with comfortable beds and no issues with cleanliness or pests. Safe and Quiet Location: The hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood, with convenient access to nearby amenities like a Chevron Gas Station and McDonald's.
Cons:
Business Center Issues: The printer in the business center is non-operational, which defeats the purpose of having a business center, especially since most guests may require printing services. Wi-Fi Connectivity: The Wi-Fi signal is weak and spotty at times, frequently cutting out for short periods. Understocked Amenities: The toilet paper supply in the room was understocked, which was a minor inconvenience. Limited Breakfast: The continental breakfast, while adequate, was slightly underwhelming in terms of variety. Laundry Facilities: Out of four machines, only one washing machine/dryer was functional, which limited the convenience of doing laundry on-site. Room Cleaning Policy: Rooms are only cleaned upon request, and management requires guests to vacate the room during cleaning, which can be inconvenient if you need your room cleaned but have nowhere to go. Additionally, cleaning staff was not always on time. Key Card Issues: The key cards deactivated after every few uses, requiring me to request a new one each time I left the room. I had to go through 7-10 key cards during my stay. Power Surges: There were occasional power surges, causing the power to go out in my room and resetting devices like the alarm clock. This can be problematic for guests relying on the clock for wake-up times. Conclusion: The Ramada by Wyndham Fresno Northwest provides an adequate stay at a reasonable price. While there are some areas for improvement, particularly with the business center, Wi-Fi, and key cards, the hotel offers clean rooms, helpful staff, and a quiet, safe location. For a budget-friendly option, it’s a solid choice.
Rating: 3/5 Stars Would recommend for a decent hotel stay at a reasonable price that offers good value...

Read moreSpent 3 nights here while in town for business. Did not receive a reservation confirmation so I called only to find out no reservation. So I made the reservation over the phone, but I had to reserve a 2 bed, room, as all single bed, rooms were booked - of course more $. I also asked for a ground floor unit. But when I arrived was told sorry only 3rd floor were available. The AC in my room did not work well. I ran for about 5 minutes would shutoff and rest about 2 minutes later, very loud fan. When the daytime temps are over 100 and lows at 80's you need working ac. I'm a heavy sleeper, but the ac kept waking me up. Bed was uncomfortable- to soft for my liking- but I'm sure it will be good for others. images appear to have been photoshopped. The pool is not for swimming, it is for soaking 15' x 15' (about). Room smelled of cleaning chemicals when I arrived. Some things appeared dirty like the counter and sink but they were just stained, as were all light switches. There is a light switch near the bed, but when you flip it off, it also turns off the plug next to the bed (that the alarm clock is plugged into). The beautiful fountain in the pictures is broken and in pieces - empty with. The entrance way drive through is busted up with stucco hanging that people walked around, as it looked like it was going to fall. The parking lot is attached to a McDonald's, that was nice as the breakfast was not the best. It was also interesting to see the warning posted in the McDonald's window about two suspects who robbed someone in their drive through at knife-point. Also have the really nice homeless people living in the back parking lot, and a few times I sat in my truck waiting for some of them to walk away before I got out and headed inside the hotel. I woke up with a couple unknown type of bug bites on my leg (guessing spider) but not 100% sure. I will be back to Fresno, but I will not be...
