Read moreWe recently moved to the Shaw & 99 area and have been looking for a spot with delicious Mexican food. The first time we tried Guisados Greicy was after seeing a TikTok, and wow, it felt like everyone else had seen it too! It was super busy, the wait was a bit long, and while the food was good, we left it at that.
Fast forward to recently, on our way home we decided to give it another try now that things have slowed down, and OMG, they did not disappoint this time! The service was phenomenal. The last time I had the asada gordita, but this time Alma helped me out with the guisados. I went with papas and chorizo (her favorite too!) and paired it with a Jamaica agua fresca. There was a lot of shrimp in taco and this taco was the best out of the four. But not great. Instead of Guacamole the provided slices of Avocado but they were hard and not ripe.
I saw a lot of people ordering the Gorditas and they looked very good. I just wanted a variety of tacos is all. A friend ordered the Costillos (short ribs) with beans and rice. Again, looked good, but the beans and rice were bland and there was hardly any meat. The tortillas again were stale. The meat was okay.
I did take an Asada Torta to go. It tasted better than the tacos, but not...
