My family and I had been coming here for years. The size of the suites were awesome. This WAS our favorite place we stopped in once a month for 5 years. My kid learned to dive in the pool here. We had some verry Good memories here. The previous owners sold the place 2 years ago. This was our first time since the new owners. Sadly to say the lady that ran the place before the hospitality left with it. The breakfast is not the same although the fruit trees aren't in session the brakefast is not the same downsized majorly. The oranges were moldy in the fruit bowl, and the soft boiled eggs weren't fresh anymore they are the nasty fake eggs you buy in pack from gasstation yuck. the sausages were off brand tasted nasty and was overcooked hard and dark brown like beef jerky. There was no fresh squeeze orange juice, although they were in session just moldy in the bowl. The store bought apple juice had floatys in it. i did not drink, it had hair an black pepper looking stuff in it. I saw it after I poured my cupp. To be honest, all the other stuff is the same as the last owners. Beds are really hard. Pillows are really hard and flatt. The showers have mold in them, and the shower heads are verry crusty with calcium or metals caked on from the water. The towels were verry dirty hair makeup and some sorts of food substances stuck to them on every towel we had was dirty. The tv's don't work 40 channels an non work besides Infomercials And someone through a hole pizza box on the ground left pizza an the trash with it for 2 days by the walkway in the hotel area. they had no quarters for laundry that the washer an dryer only took coins. Sadly, the brakefast an the vibe of the place WAS the only reason why we came here for so long. Sadly to say they have lost a loyal customer forever. The vibe is the only thing that's left an Sadly to say from everything else is going wrong,...
Read moreDon't believe the reviews and just look at the pictures I posted. This was like a cheap out dated Motel 6 but your are paying Embassy Suite prices. The rooms were below standard and dirty. My Family and I traveled to Fresno for my sister-in-laws baby shower and reading the 4 out of 5 star reviews i believed this to be a nice place to stay. We got the 2 bedroom suite because my mother-in-law was traveling with us. The instant I walked into my room I was disappointed. The living room was out dated, furniture was beat up (with crumbs all over it), the safety lock was broken on the door, the door handle would get stuck leaving the door open if you didn't reset it, and it just looked like a old. The TV station they have available are horrible because they don't have cable. Luckily I had netflix and their wifi actually worked. My mother-in-laws room was atleast clean but our room was dirty, the bathroom had old stains in it, the light in the bathroom was dim and flickered, an open drain right in front of the toilet, multiple hairs on the toilet, and I wiped around the inside of the toilet seat to find it yellow from pee stains. We had just enough time to change and head to the baby shower. We arrived back at the suite around 8pm. I sit down to relax finally for the day and see small bugs crawling in the couch. We just went into our room at that point and tried to sleep without imagining any other bugs were in the room. Hoping the Breakfast would be this place saving grace, I was disappointed in the under cooked hard boiled eggs they had, and the 2 types of 3 day old looking sausage. The lady made my waffle in the waffle maker, so that was nice of her, but when i went to check out and complain about our experience she said she wouldn't do anything for us and we should have complained earlier (which i would have if we weren't at the...
Read moreWe discovered the Garden Inn and Suites while driving toward other hotels we were thinking of staying at. We were delighted by what we read on Google Map reviews, so we went and got a room. All that was available was a suite (room 130), so it was a little more than we usually spend. It was completely worth it, though, because staying at this hotel was an absolutely wonderful experience.
It appeared that this hotel was originally a condo or apartment. Each of the rooms were accessible along gorgeous walkways lined with fruit trees and flowering plants. The room we stayed in was set up like a 1 bedroom apartment. Upon entering, you walk into a living room, with a full kitchen visible behind it. The oven range was disconnected, but there was a large fridge and microwave that were fully functioning. Just after entering, to the right there was a door leading into the bedroom area. There were two queen beds and a bathroom at the back of the room. It was, assuredly, the most spacious hotel room we have ever stayed in.
Our breakfast had fresh grapefruit, figs, peaches, and plums, all from fruiting trees on the property. We learned that the other fruit trees and bushes on the grounds included kumquats, Finger limes, Fingered Citron/Buddha's Hand, passion fruit, oranges, limes, and Goji berries. None of these were currently ripe at the time of our stay, but the owners do serve them at breakfast when they are in season.
We had the privilege of chatting with one of the owners, a very pleasant woman who delighted my children by opening a Finger lime and letting them taste the it. She was happy to answer all our questions about the various fruits. It was lovely talking with her.
I hope others will have the pleasure of staying at this...
