Formosa Inn — Hotel in Fresno

What in the world? Do people just not have standards any? Wow. I don't know where to start. Well let's start with the toilet bowl of Fresno. Is there any decent hotels in this entire grotesque town?

I show up and the gates are closed and locked. I had to call to ask how to get in. I was told to park next door at the Garden Inn. Thankfully there was one spot left. So I walk over to the Formosa Inn and there is no lobby or check in. I walked back to the Garden Inn and ask where to check in. Nowhere does it say to check in at the Garden Inn for the Formosa. The guy didn't even tell me that when I called. Really dude? I check in and go to my room. The room smells of smoke! I return to the lobby and let him know I'd like a nonsmoking room. He claims they are all nonsmoking. We'll, that may be the case but someone obviously was smoking in the room. I ask for air freshener and that does very little to help. I proceed to open the front windows, they don't open. I proceed to open the bathroom window and the screen is ripped and pretty much non existent. So I cant leave the bathroom window open so I have to sit in a smoke filled hot room. Really? The cover on the bed is stained. The room smells of something else other than smoke as well. The fan in the bathroom is loud as hell. The airconditioner has something spilled on it. What have I done? 😢

The reviews on hotels.com are decent. I don't know why. The reviews on Google maps is 3.8. Now I know to check all reviews. I should have just driven up and back in the same day....

I called over to ask question because I have a very specific question I ask hotels based on my past experiences and in the middle of asking right around the time I ask about disabled rooms I said for tonight says we probably sold out to which I said your not sure he said your serious I said yes why would I be calling if I wasn't looking for a room and he said I asking a lot of question.i thought...

My room is spacious and clean. The front desk personnel were friendly and accommodating. The location is both good and bad. It is good in the sense that it id basically on the Shaw/99 interchange, so you can promptly get where you need to go. But it is bad in the sense that it feels like it's in a concrete jungle and in a street...
