Came here for our 5 year wedding anniversary weekend since we've had wonderful dining experiences here. Great service! Great staff. Highly recommend.

After check-in, my wife promptly left for the spa since she scheduled a facial earlier that week, along with hours of other spa services for us. While she pampered, I went to the Apron Kitchen + Bar to have a beer while they readied our room that wasn't quite ready upon our 12:45 pm early check-in. After two rounds of beer, our room was ready and I went up to set up our stuff.

Upon going into the room, I was surprised to find out they had upgraded our room to a nicer corner suite for our anniversary. This room has an amazing layout. Small entry leads into the living room which had floor to ceiling sliding glass doors that overlooked the main courtyard and golf course. The master suite had a connecting balcony with the living room and separate sliding glass doors for it's room. Beautifully laid out and wonderfully decorated. My wife loved the plaid carpet and wallpapers. The bathroom was huge. Had a beautiful soaking tub and a separate giant shower with step bar in the corner to help rest a raised foot for shaving. Toilet did run, so you had to jiggle three handle a lot to get it to stop/fill up.

One complaint about the room, was that you could hear the courtyard music all night/morning. Either need better windows, or lower music settings after midnight.

After I got us all settled into the room, I got dressed for the spa and met my wife in the nail salom for our pedicures. We both did the 80 minute pedicures and loved everything about our technicians. Great job!

From there, we checked into the spa down stairs and sat in the coed lounge which has drinks and great chairs. We waited maybe 5 minutes before our masseuses came for us. We did the 80-minute couples massage and they did wonderful.

From here, we stopped by the Green Cactus Cafe for some quick easy bites and cocktails before getting showered up and on to our 7:45 pm dinner reservations at Ryder Cup Grille. I was the only patron in the inside seating area and I ordered my appetizer, food, and cocktail about 5 minutes before my wife joined. Once she joined, she ordered her cocktail and we waited another 30 minutes before our quick refreshments showed up. I understand our drinks we ordered were the custom non-spicy versions of the Passionfruit margarita, but service should be a wee bit faster. Had the pineapple pizza, hummus plate, and margaritas and they all were spectacular. The pizza kinda basic, but still tasty.

After showering and pampering, we started to walk to the the Ryder Grille for dinner, but we were maybe only a minute in before a golf cart asked if we needed a ride anywhere, to which we graciously accepted.

Dinner was fabulous as always. Tonight, I had the IPA and the wife had the Sweet Tea Smash for our drinks. We started with the street corn Caesar salad split, which was amazing. But of course, Chef Rafael, had an off-menu avocado appetizer stuffed with chicken & cheese, and piled high with toppings. My wife absolutely loved this! Than you. From here we split the pork chop with arugula, which was perfect. For dessert, they brought out this monsterous platter with bread cake, vanilla ice cream, churros, strawberries, cowboy cookies, and pecan pie. Absolutely delicious! Made our anniversary perfect.

From here, we were too stuffed to play the par 3 night course and cancelled our tee time and went back to the room just in time to catch the drone show. Our 4th floor balcony overlooking the courtyard provided the perfect vantage point to the show. This was so cool!

The next morning, we slept in and then ordered in coffee and breakfast from Apron Kitchen + Bar. Great food and service. After that we packed up and called the front desk for a luggage cart. They provided us a 15-20 minute wait time. After 45 minutes of waiting, we checked out via phone, grabbed our bags, and carried them out. They were super backed up. Valet wasn't too bad of a wait.

Overall, loved everything...

While your staff is extremely friendly, the food was good, and the facilities are beautiful I experienced way too many issues for you to consider yourself a 5-star resort.

Below is a summary. Nobody understands the menus at any of the restaurants; at the adult pool I asked the server and she described 2 dishes wrong, at lunch in the Ryder Cup restaurant, my order was delivered differently than what was described.  Asked questions about the menu at The Ice Bar and also got an "I don't know" response. At a basic level servers should be trained on the menus being offered.

Ordered a mimosa at 8am on Sunday during breakfast, and when I tried to get another, first, I was told first we had to order food with alcohol before 10am even though we just spent $60 at breakfast, but we said ok, only for her to come back and tell us actually they can’t serve any alcohol before 10am, as I was staring at my empty mimosa glass. This is just one example of the inconsistencies and mixed messaging.

The pools open early but can't get service until hours after.

At the spa they ask if you want to add additional services on intake forms yet 2  staff members couldn't tell me prices or answer questions. I was told by my massage therapist the item I selected was free so I requested and later saw a charge that I did not authorize.

The temperature inside the hotel and spa is FREEZING 24-7. Makes for a very unenjoyable visit, especially when you are trying to relax on a massage table and in the waiting room.

Gave my feedback to a spa employee and all she did was make excuses, no apology. No making it right, just looked at me with a blank stare. I got the same response when I tried to share all these issues at the front desk at checkout.

Service everywhere for bar drinks is SLOW (except in the main lobby), taking 15-20 minutes just to receive a drink, even at the restaurants at it was not bust at all as we were there 4 days after opening.

Tried to add meals to a group account that my client set up and was refused multiple times, even though she confirmed it was part of their contract terms.

Registers were not working in the pro shop, waited 20 minutes for them to figure out how to ring up a shirt.

Hot tub is out of service at the adult-only rooftop pool - and this is just 4 days after opening. The only other option was a hot tub that allowed children to be in it, not my idea of a relaxing soak.

Flies were really bad INSIDE the Ice House restaurant, making it hard to enjoy a meal, we left before we were finished.

Retail stores were closed at 6 pm

Unfinished - blue painter's tape all over my room's walls and the cabinet was broken upon arrival, we called maintenance and they agreed but never fixed it. Bathrooms had holes in ceilings with no covers - see attached photo

Tea and Toast triple-charged me even after I showed them the card machine said it was approved every time, the employees argued with me that the charge did not go through and made me swipe it 3 times. Called 2 days ago still waiting for a refund to even be processed.

On the day of departure we asked our golf clubs to be brought over an hour and a half before we needed to leave and when we went to the front desk to check out they still weren't there.

While I recognize this is a new resort, they have had months to train and have all operations running smoothly before opening. Not to mention they operate under the Omni umbrella and there are many resorts that have been open for a long time, so there should be no excuse not to have processes fine-tuned upon opening additional resorts. A few kinks are understandable, but not all of these issues. I have never heard so many "I don't know" or "I can't answer that" in my life! At least tell me you'll find an answer out! If I'm new to a resort I expect employees to be able to answer basic questions about the facility.

If I'm going to pay 5-star prices, I expect 5-star service! As did my client who spent a lot of money to host our...

An Unforgettable Experience at the Omni PGA Frisco Resort

I never thought I’d choose to stay a mere mile from my own house in Windsong Ranch, Prosper, TX—but life happens (in our case, a water loss insurance claim and major home renovations). In search of a temporary haven, my wife Terri and I, along with our dogs Joey and Stoli, moved into the Omni PGA Frisco Resort. Little did we know, we were about to experience the kind of hospitality that travelers search the world over to find.

From the moment we pulled up to valet, the Omni staff rolled out the red carpet. Check-in was a breeze, the welcome at the concierge desk was personal and friendly, and the lobby bar’s complimentary happy hour put instant smiles on our faces. The sense of warmth and genuine care radiates from every team member here—everyone seems to take pride in noticing when you’re lost (like I was!) and stepping in to help, no questions asked.

Dining Delights: • Trick Rider Steakhouse: We were itching to try this place for Valentine’s Day but couldn’t get past what felt like a “no reservations left” blockade. Enter Mike M., the Restaurant Director, who worked some serious magic. Next thing we knew, we had the best seat in the house and a Valentine’s dinner we’ll never forget. Our server, whose name I wish I had gotten perfectly (Aradicado, perhaps?), was also outstanding—attentive, friendly, and made sure we felt like total rock stars. • Apron Restaurant: The good times kept rolling with an early dinner the following evening. My short rib was melt-in-your-mouth perfection, while my wife’s redfish made her day. The Banana Foster dessert? Worth every calorie, and then some! They even brought over the bread and butter from Trick Rider because they knew how much we loved it. Talk about going above and beyond.

Top-Notch Accommodations: • Our guestroom is both luxurious and incredibly comfortable—even Joey and Stoli made themselves right at home! Housekeeping is quick, efficient, and somehow always one step ahead of our requests. The in-room dining service showed up faster than we could blink, and not only was everything delicious, but they even surprised us with complimentary mimosas. It’s the little things like that which prove Omni fosters a culture of genuine care and hospitality.

Fantastic People: • Owen at the lobby bar consistently greeted us with a smile and remembered our names and favorite drinks. • Mike M. deserves another shout-out for making our special Valentine’s Day dinner truly extraordinary. • The entire front-desk team, concierge staff, restaurant servers, and housekeeping crew consistently exude warmth and professionalism. In a world that can feel impersonal, they make you feel like the only guest that matters.

To the leadership of Omni Hotels & Resorts: Your team at Omni PGA Frisco embodies what five-star service should be—accommodating, empathetic, and genuinely joyful in their work. We’ve traveled all over, yet it’s ironic we only had to go across the street from home to find some of the best hospitality we’ve ever experienced. Thank you for turning a stressful time (a gutted kitchen and ongoing home repairs) into a pampered getaway for us and our dogs. We can’t recommend this resort highly enough.

Bottom Line: • 5 Stars, 5 Diamonds, 5 Paw Prints—whatever the highest rating is, Omni PGA Frisco earns it. • We’ll be telling everyone we know (and all our social media followers) about this exceptional stay.

We’re deeply grateful for the thoughtfulness, creativity, and warmth of everyone on the Omni team. Until next time—and there will be a next time—thank you for making us feel like VIPs in our own neighborhood.

With heartfelt gratitude, Garrett & Terri Fox (and pups...
