I went there recently as a guest of my good friend. I’ve known him for over a decade. Plus, I did stay there for a week a few years ago. I will talk about my most recent experience, because that’s fresh in my mind and it’s updated. If the name didn’t imply, all the rooms are studios. As a bonus, they are also efficiencies. I’m not 100% positive, but they might be the only motel on the Whitehorse Pike that are offers efficiencies. I would have to check on that, so don’t take my word for it. The rooms offers a kitchen with a full refrigerator, stove, a good size sink, plenty of cabinets and some counter space. It would be better if they did have more counter space in the kitchen for preparing food. They also have a table attached to the wall, next to the kitchen for dining or just hanging out. It is so close to the kitchen that you could actually prepare food on there. So, the limited counter space in the kitchen is no big deal. There are two chairs in that kitchen area. Studio Inn offers big rooms that consists of one room and a separate bathroom. In addition to the kitchen, there is also a sitting area next to the bed, with another table, also attached to the wall, with one chair. I was impressed with all the tables and sitting space. Of course, like most hotels, especially on Rt. 30, the bed is a king. Plenty of room to relax or sleep. The bed linens were clean and tastefully done. Both times I was there, It was quiet and I didn’t see a bunch of transients or shady activity. The office is conveniently located right in between the motel. This is great, because the office is close to every room, and they can keep an eye on the property. For those travelers that have dogs, there is a wide grassy area (away from the road) that can be used as a service area for them. Please remember to pick up after your dog. It can also be a place where the kids play, if you’re traveling with a family. Of course, just keep an eye on them. It is well maintained and clean. The only reason I gave it four stars is because the rooms could use an upgrade. It’s obvious that everything is old and outdated. But, it’s conveniently located next to Atlantic City, and it’s clean and quiet. Yes! I would definitely stay...
Read moreEvery hotel in the Atlantic City area was absolutely ridiculous in price , we found this as a last resort and they only had a Jacuzzi room available so we took that at first we were kind of excited because it was a Jacuzzi room with a full kitchen area a stove a full size fridge and a kitchen sink however upon A further examination we realize everything was kind of janky and run down on a positive note the jacuzzi worked the fridge didn't work but the freezer did the air conditioning was COLD the bed sheets were clean even though the bed completely sucked the room smelled like SMOKE really bad and we're non-smokers so that was really bad that was a tough thing for us majority of the furniture was broken or damaged and held up with duct tape this place has the potential to be really nice if the owners would take some consideration and time and put some time and effort into this hotel it would be beautiful because these rooms are huge and they have the potential to be really nice jacuzzi suites for like a romantic getaway but that's not what this is at this point the TV was extremely small especially for the distance from the bed and the remote control didn't work lastly we had the toilet plug up after 20 minutes of plunging and plunging and plunging I was unable to unclog it so I called the front desk and ask them to bring a snake the lady started to give me a lecture like I was so stupid and I didn't have any common sense about I'm on plunging the toilet like I was flushing some God forsaken stuff down there firm with her and explain to her that I'm not an idiot and I didn't do anything that's not my fault their toilets a piece of crap they finally came with a snake and I just gave us the dirtiest nastiest looks like we did something wrong when they were in our room for 20 minutes snaking the toilet and I kept repeatly asking them to shut the door because it was 100 degrees outside and they just looked at me...
Read moreWhen we went to sign in, the front desk person was so unfriendly and cold I got a bad feeling right away. A sign said if you want room service, call Dominoes. The elevator (it has 2 stories) had a very strong urine smell. The room....disgusting! The carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in months and was sticky, the bedspread was so filthy I wouldn't touch it. The kitchenette area had old, dirty foil under the burners, the microwave was dirty, the fridge looked ok, but I wouldn't prepare any food in that kitchen. The tub was so bad even my husband wouldn't take a shower in it. The towels had stains. The switch on the light on the bedside table was broken so you had to lift up the lamp, push the broken switch into the hole from underneath with with one hand, while trying to push the switch with the other. I was afraid of getting a shock. The smoke detector had a plastic bag over it. By the way, the room reeked of cigarette smoke. The phone on the bedside table had no faceplate and you could look right down into the inner workings. I wouldn't let my feet touch the floor, it was so disgusting. The only good thing I can say about the place is that it was quiet. Luckily we only were there a few hours, but I couldn't rest. I was afraid to stretch out in the bed. $130 a night for filth and disrepair? Stay...
