If you are traveling to Gatlinburg, Tennessee and are considering taking a walking ghost tour I would strongly recommend NOT taking “Gatlinburg Haunts”. A couple of weeks ago I took this tour with my sister and our husbands. My sister uses a walker because of a prior back injury, but before the tour began, we asked the tour guide if the tour would be too much for my sister. We were assured it would not be even though the second or third stop are the worst areas. When the rest of the tour group arrived, we began with the tour guide taking off like she was in a sprint race. At the first stop my sister arrived halfway through the discussion and realized she would not be able to continue. Her husband informed the guide and they left. You see besides for the speed the walking path was not smooth plus in the darkness difficult to navigate. I walk 2 to 3 miles a day in our neighborhood and my husband exercises daily, so we are in good physical shape, but I found some of the areas covered challenging. At the end of the tour my husband and I discussed the tour and we both agreed my sister would not have been able to complete the tour. Besides the robust path there was several hill areas that required extra energy. So, at the end of the tour, I approached the tour guide saying that my sister was the couple who dropped out and requested a refund for her tour. She informed me that she did not have the power to do that and to take it up with the company. The next day I sent a text message to the company giving them the facts and asked for a refund for my sister and her husband. So far, they have not responded to my request, and I feel they probably will not. You see it’s not really the money spent but the fact that the tour guide should have better informed us of the difficulties of this tour. But more the fact that the company chose not to respond to me in any form. I’m really tired of companies taking advantage of their customers and not owning up to their errors. A simple “we are sorry this occurred, but it is our...
Read moreThis was the worst tour I've ever been on, in any city, regarding anything, anywhere. (These other ppl must have had a different guide. You would PREFER throwing your fee in the trash, than being left behind, not hearing anything, seeing anything, or actually GOING to any of these places. I've already seen them all from a distance. ) I asked if he would be patient to take photos. He said yes, but he walked off in the darkness, with the other two people on the tour, and just said which direction they were headed. We didn't get to GO to any haunted places, only see them from a distance, from a block away. I'm disabled, and SAID that, but kept getting left behind, from the moment they began walking. They left a disabled person OUT of the "tour". The "adult only" tour should at least be creepy. I was looking forward to it, because I brought my little girl's remains to keep a promise, and can only do things she would have enjoyed with me, but wasn't ALLOWED to enjoy anything about it. It was miserable, and I would BEG anyone I even overheard wanting to go, to just set their money on fire instead, and save themselves all the physical pain I have to recover from. I believe it is called the "Grave intentions". You could have handed me a pamphlet, let me go over it for an hour, and I would have led a more LEGITIMATE, informative, creepy, and CONSIDERATE tour. Tomorrow, after I keep my promise, I just want to get out of her asap. I have enjoyed NOTHING about this tourist trap, and they hate dogs, so you get a total of FIVE things to...
Read moreWe have been going to Gatlinburg for years and this is the 1st time that we had found the Gatlinburg haunts I love the historical ghost tale tour. Especially when they have true background history it's so fascinating to learn about places that you always visit on vacation. We got a little girl named Savannah and she is actually a Sensitive to the paranormal for a while and she does a great tour and very friendly and she also will go and debunk things to make sure that it's not fake or it was just a fake tail she also goes into your history which I really like about it And she will go and research things as well she is continuing to research more so that she will know more as she does more tours.
