I call this one “Savings from a bug infestation”. Ok so here is what happened, My friend and I were calling around town to look up prices for Airbnb’s and hotels in the area. Long story short, we contacted Joseph -had a great conversation with him but we decided to go with something cheaper down the road. Later in the evening while we were out and about, Joseph contacted us back to wish us the best in our search, and to welcome us at his joint for a great price the next time we were back in town. We politely declined and continued with our reservation else where.....WHAT A BIG MISTAKE that was!!!! By the time we checked in the other place it was super late, and that’s when we noticed it had a ROACH INFESTATION!!!!! We freaked out bc we couldn’t get any other accommodations with great pricing so last minute. So we put our tales between our legs and reached out to Joseph again to see if he could help us out. And Not only did he help, but he got us 2 rooms, and checked us in remotely in the middle of the night. But get this, the best part of all for me was that he didn’t take advantage of our vulnerability within that moment by over changing. He treated us with respect and honesty, as though we were booking inadvance. And for that I would just like to thank him for showing that he was a great man of integrity willing to make 2 young girls very happy with their room accommodations and that is why we would recommend doing business with him as well. You will not regret just go for bc you will definitely get what you pay for...
Read moreWhat was supposed to be a trip to see a concert turned into an epic adventure where my hope was restored in humanity. There was a flash flood during my drive to Charleston this afternoon. My car got stuck. We pushed the car (2x to be specific) in knee high flood waters and we waited for hours for a tow— which never came. I called every hotel and room I could find. Joseph Baxter, the owner of Baxter’s Brew House Inn, returned my missed call and said he was full but may know about a room still for rent. I simply cannot express to you what an amazing group of people I’ve just encountered. At a time when many people would have taken advantage of an emergency situation and gouged prices to compensate for a slow off season, Michael Caldwell and his lovely wife were the most gracious human brings I’ve encountered- quite possibly in life. Not only did Michael, rescue us from flood waters, take us to his AirBnB ( the incredible pictures will speak for themselves) and subsequently refuse payment but they also brought us food. Dinner that was both delicious and decadent but, more importantly, incredibly kind as there was no one delivering because of the floods. They own Indigo Bakery which is just below the loft we’re in😊 A total disaster but A Beautiful Disaster— Turned adventure, which led to meeting some great humans! I’ll definitely be coming back- with a planned visit- and enjoying the free brews while in-house...
Read moreLove, love, love this inn. The location is perfect for visiting historic Georgetown, just a couple short blocks to great restaurants, shopping, and waterfront. It’s an historic home—three rooms, coffee and breakfast on the go-but it’s also a Brewhouse! Yes, you really can drink free delicious microbrews at any time, brewed in house by Joseph.|The hosts, Joseph and Tina, were so gracious and hospitable. Little touches throughout made our stay perfect—plug extenders in the rooms, a nicer hair dryer than I use at home, sitting areas with TV, lovely porch to watch the evening come on, even bug spray and sunscreen if you forget you’re in coastal Carolina in the spring. They checked in with us on our trip to recommend places to visit and dine, places they actually go, which were awesome. |We were as comfortable there as if we were staying with family, the ones you like 😉 We’re already...
