I can't believe this place. I ordered a sampler platter with extra chicken chimis instead of wings and when I received it, first my quesadilla wasn't melted and i asked it be remade, the waitress took my plate and removed the cold one in the back and brought me my plate back without the quesadilla stating it would be a couple minutes for a new one to come out. I then went to eat my remaining food and found it was cold as if it had been sitting ready waiting for my boyfriend's food to be ready. I then poked a hole in a mozzarella stick (1 of 3) and a jalapeno popper (1 of 3) and asked for it to be remade after finding they were cold to the touch. It took 2 minutes for my "new plate" to come back. My new plate was missing the mozzarella stick i had poked and still had the jalapeno popper on it that I poked a hole in. A "manager" then came back out clicking the cap of his highlighter and decided to defend his supposed chef's who "remade" the plate. He stated they had a second plate ready for another customer and brought that out to me. (He missed the fact that i had no wings on my plate and extra chimis in it's place and therefore it couldn't be a "new plate" because lets be honest, how many other customers replace the wings with extra chimis? ) He argued with my boyfriend for 10 minutes and told me they would remake it. He walked away and our very kind server came and asked if she could do anything else, we stated that it wasn't her fault since she asked for them to remake it. She then walked away to get my boyfriend a box for his food and came back and said the new platter is ready and hot.... 15 minutes later. This place is breaking all kinds of health code violations and you are lucky I don't take this to a higher level. I will never recommend this place to any guests who stay at my hotel nor will i return. Your "managers" need better training to deal with customers and not argue for 10 minutes especially in front of a restaurant full of people and your chefs apparently need to be trained on telling the...

Decided to go dine in with my spouse and this experience was very poor. We received our food and the first bite I went to take had a hair in it. I specifically brought it up to all the staff and said "I'm not satisfied I work in the food industry myself and I believe that's a hair is there anything yall can do about it?" Two other servers that weren't mine specifically told me it looked like a hair to them. One proceeded to bring the napkin with the hair and the meat I was about to eat on it to their manager. I went to sit back down and not one person came and checked on us. I understand things but to not even check up on a customer is not right or even offers to remake the food. After watching my spouse finish his food (which he was pleased with his), I began to get upset. Finally our server came to the table and only asked him if he was doing okay. I spoke up and told her his was great but the service here is not great y'all could have remade the food and I would have been satisfied but the fact I sat there with nothing said was ridiculous. I have never been this upset over anywhere I have ate before from the lack of the staffs service and not even offering anything to satisfy me the customer. They did take my meal off the bill which I would have not paid for because I couldn't even take one bite. I'm not hard to please but the manager could have spoken to me and nothing was done other than it being took of my bill. They could do better. I used to come there often now I don't want...

Ignore the good reviews and do not waste your money here!!! Bad experience! We stopped on a Monday afternoon. The restaurant was not very busy. We waited more than 5 minutes before we were even greeted at the front door. The staff was very friendly but the service was extremely slow. The food was a major disappointment especially for the price. I ordered the chorizo tacos with rice and beans. The food took forever to arrive I received 3 small tacos with chorizo and a tiny bit of onion and cilantro on top, they were only filled about a quarter of the way up. The shells were stale and there was a tiny dish of refried beans and instant rice on the side. That was it for $15. Total disappointment! My wife ordered a second cocktail when the food finally arrived. The drink did not come until several minutes after we had already finished our meal. My wife had a salad which included a paltry amount of shrimp. She was sick to her stomach for the rest of the night and the following morning. Bottom line is that the service was horrible and the food was very disappointing and over-priced. I really feel that this place is a total rip off. It felt like nobody was in charge. I think that the wait staff was also possibly preparing the food and bartending at the same time and not doing a very good job at any of it. Taco Bell literally would have been more enjoyable Will...

We’ve driven past El Cerro Grande for years, and have always meant to stop in. I’m glad we did exactly that today! Restaurant was very clean with cute decor. Our server, Abby, was prompt and really friendly. The salsa was delicious and blended to the perfect smooth consistency, with a nice touch of heat. My wife and I each had a margarita. She enjoyed a Skinny Margarita, and I ordered a super tasty Patrón Margarita. Excellent choices! We visited at lunchtime and were presented the full dinner menu, plus another with lunch specials. We ordered a lunch combo (taco & chile relleno) along with the enchiladas verde. Each were fresh and arrived quickly. All of the side items on each plate were very tasty, and not afterthoughts at all. My enchiladas verde (standard Tex-Mex order for me) was one of the best I’ve had! Lots of fresh onion and cilantro, and a very nice amount of heat in there – YUM! This may have been our first visit, but it won’t be our last!

Nice Mexican style restaurant with fast friendly service and your entrees are usually out before you get too engaged with the chips & salsa!🙂 My favorite is the Burrito Supreme without sour cream; which is one beef and one chicken burrito covered with cheese, lettuce, tomato and a side of rice. My comfort food!!! Tried the Barbecue Sandwich for a change…it was good but still LOVE old faithful!

Ugh. Just ugh. I love Mexican food and this was awful. The cheese dip came out cold, like playdoh looking cold. The meals were lukewarm at best and the flavors were, well, missing. I would love to say they were busy or had a reason but it was empty (see the pic?) When we told the waitress she did nothing. I’m sorry to say but we won’t be back :(
