We ordered the Thanksgiving basket meal that you buy and then heat and eat at home. It was suppose to feed 8 to 10. When we got there to pick it up, they gave us the 4 to 6 in a small plastic bag and told us that they can't fix any more food that we were SUPPOSE to get with our order because it's not Thanksgiving anymore. **Side note, I work overnights-12hour shifts-( which is why we wanted to get this... so it would help me not have to cook on my day off a d to enjoy my family)..... I worked on Thanksgiving so my husband and I wanted our dinner to be on Sunday.** This is so upsetting. I have a lot of people coming tomorrow. Now I have to cook and not spend time with my family because I'll be in the kitchen most of tomorrow. Way to go Cracker Barrel - while YOU got to spend Thanksgiving with your family, I guess I cannot. Smh. *edit * Sunday has came and went, the food that we got from Cracker Barrel was never eaten. When we went to reheat the food, it was literally the worst I've ever seen. It was horrible! It looked like they just threw the scraps into 3 small pans and put a cover on them. The cinnamon rolls were hard as a brick. They gave us something white that was thick and congealed. Not sure what it was. We didn't/couldn't use it. There were NO INSTRUCTIONS on how to prepare the food on anything. They charged us over 100.00 dollars for food that could not be eaten. Extremely disappointed is an understatement. Beware when ordering from Cracker Barrel. Our Thanksgiving was ruined by this experience.

The Cracker Barrel in Georgetown, Kentucky, offers a mix of impressive service and mixed culinary experiences. During my recent visit, the host, who was also doubling as a waiter, provided extraordinary service. Their attentiveness, friendliness, and efficiency were notable, ensuring that every guest felt welcomed and well-cared for despite the busy atmosphere. The food, overall, was well-prepared to order. The steak, cooked perfectly to a medium-rare as requested, stood out for its precise preparation. However, its quality left something to be desired. Despite being a strip steak, it was surprisingly tough, making it less enjoyable to eat. Additionally, the garlic butter topping, while flavorful, felt misplaced on a breakfast steak, detracting from its suitability for the meal. The rest of the meal was satisfying, showcasing Cracker Barrel’s consistency in delivering comforting, homestyle dishes. While the steak fell short of expectations, the exceptional service and effort put into the food preparation deserve recognition.

I know the stars don't align for this rating. Not the first time that I've witnessed blatant racial profiling, but I was truly appalled when the hostess and first server showed disdain for a member of my family (a person of color). It was not busy, and we (a party of 3) asked for a large table as we were celebrating recent birthdays (cards, presents, etc). After unprofessional (my opinion) grumbling by the hostess, we were seated at a large table. No service provided until the hostess (after 15+ minutes) was flagged down. First server took orders and never returned, and it was obvious she did not want to serve our table. No drinks, no tableware, no napkins. Another server came out with drinks & apologized. She said she saw what had happened & specifically asked for our table. She was amazing! A manager came out & apologized as well after being informed of the situation. The food was good & plentiful (some dishes were not available however). A bad experience was turned around by a decent person.

My family and I have been eating and shopping at different Cracker Barrels. for over 40 years. First time at this location. I normally don't post negative reviews on a business unless I had a bad enough experience that I want to protect others from having the same.

  1. My wife was told that the kitchen was out of eggs when she asked for the breakfast platter, which forced her to pick something else from the menu. However, throughout the rest of our visit, we witnessed other patrons (including several who arrived and placed their orders after us) receiving breakfast with eggs.
  2. My wife settled on her second choice: vegetable soup. After a 15 minute wait, the waitress returned to tell her that the kitchen does not have vegetable soup. My wife responded by requesting whatever soup the kitchen does have. It was some type of noodle soup that had just a few noodles but was mostly water.
  3. I requested jelly twice and my wife asked for a straw for her tea, but the waitress never managed to fill our requests.
  4. At checkout, there was only one cashier. After waiting a couple of minutes, I realized that there was a line that formed in the store rather than at the exit of the restaurant, so I was in the wrong place. (First time I have EVER seen this format after hundreds of visits to different locations).
  5. I move to the back of the line in the store, and then a second cashier came in and immediately started checking out people leaving the restaurant where I had previously been waiting.
  6. During my wait to pay, my wife found a 18"x18" painting that she wanted to buy, so we added that to our food order. It was raining heavily outside, so my wife asked for the painting to be put in a bag. The cashier said "We don't have any bags" (Even though there were plenty of sufficiently large plastic bags behind the counter being used to package "to-go" orders for food delivery people). I would overlook one, two, or even three of these events and not even think of posting a review. But as a loyal Cracker Barrel customer, I was extremely surprised and disappointed by the poor quality and selection of food, poor service, and lack of organization at the registers at the Georgetown, KY location. I will keep driving down the...

As a customer I never eat here the wait times for both dine in and pick up are insane and this store can never get it together on its times As a employee I learned fast why this store is a sinking ship , to say the least

The cooks in the back are a combination of different people , people who care , people who do not care , language barrier and don’t understand the importance of cook times both grill and fryer ( just guesses) , cooks who assume since they’ve cooked at CB they think they pretty much got it In the back prep cooks , poor attitudes , lazy and incompetence, language barrier , no sense of urgency when food needs to be rushed or prepared for the line People eating on all of the lines in the back , super unsanitary

The managers are built up of different people who are exactly what it says different people , so when it comes to approach and running this place it gets ran in different ways

They cannot function whatsoever in the back as a team when things get rough, cussing and screaming at each other , nonstop bickering , the importance of ticket times cannot be understood because the managers are unable to get it into every cook and servers head

So when your order is late even if you have a great server pushing the cooks to get that food out to you fast either manager or cook or both are not working well with them to get it to you hot and fast

There is a loud and aggressive female manager in the back that should be a GM somewhere else she is that girl on fire and believes in what your expecting but she cannot do it alone

If the managers all worked together improved their attitudes spent less time sleeping with employees and managers alike the focus could improve so many things in this store

I’ve seen and prepared food back there and I totally understand the frustration of the customer

Cold fryer food and over or under cooked meats make perfect sense now I could still keep going but I think...

A story of togetherness... Ok, so I just left this location. My husband and I have visited this location serval times of the last month. I have to say that the service and food is always amazing. If there is a mistake it is quickly fixed. Just amazing! But, on this day my husband had a diabetic issue and was not feeling well after we got there. The manager (I wish I had his name) jumped right in to help us. He put us at a closer table. He was more than kind and attentive. This practice moved right on to the service we received from the server (I don't have her name) she was patient, boxed up our meal, and even followed us out to our car...with no hesitation. Oh, and did I mention the family that came over to help?! She was a nurse and they had two little children, but they cared about what was happening with us. I thanked them several times. The wife holding her baby still wanted to help and outside taking his babies to the car the husband said "we got you". I am leaving this long post because in our current atmosphere I want it known that there is more harmony than discord. This location is not just about food, it is about the people. Oh, did I mention my husband and I were the only black couple at the the time (which is not normal), but those folks saw someone in need of support. I thank God that happened to us at this location. If you have the opportunity to support them please do! And did I mention that once I go home and had a chance to eat...FRIGGIN AMAZING MEAL!!! Thank you to the manager, our server, and that beautiful family. I pray blessings on all of you and everything...
