Panera Bread — Restaurant in Georgetown

I like Panera, but this location is sub par compared to others. The hours of operation on the door note 6:30am opening on Saturday/Sundays. On 7/11/21, after attempting to enter at 6:35am I waiting for another 15 minutes the doors were still locked, so I went thru the drive-thru. There was a person at the window doing something but refused to acknowledge my existence. Apparently this location has changed their hours to open at 7am, but that isn't noted anywhere outside of online. But the fact that staff sees me outside and refuses to simply tell me the hours have changed is poor customer service.

When I have gone inside, this location is extremely slow. My family usually orders something from baked good from the case up front. But apparently bagels are not included in that and are sent to the kitchen to slice/toast. My family is done with their other baked goods provided by the front of house staff before I bagel ever comes up in the window. This is the only Panera location that I have seen set-up this way. Not sure why the front of house staff can't slice/toast a bagel.

I feel like a lot of people feel Panera is overpriced. First Watch just opened 2 doors down, so this Panera location may not survive...

I usually nver write such a bad review for restaurants but after my order today I just cant give anymore than one star which I hate becasue I used to work for Panera in college. I frequent this location hoping everytime it will get better but it never does. The mornings I go to get breakfast I always try to get any souffle and they are always out, literally everytime. Today, I placed an order for soup to be delivered to my work place which is half a mile away. While tracking my order I saw it left the buiilding at 1:30pm, my order didnt arrive to until 2:10pm!!!!!!!!!!!! I received cold soup and a soggy grilled cheese. I had not been feeling well which is why I chose delivery and it took 40 minutes to go less than a mile to me? When I called and spoke with the manager he advised me that he'd mail me a coupon for next time. Even the resolution to the issue is medicore in my opinion. Coming from someone who has worked for this company in the past I hope they raise their expectations back to where they used to be. I would religiously stop at panera before working the night shift. It would be one of my only meals of the day. First I had an incident with hair my salad. Being as I was at work I could not just run back to the store. I couldn't eat there for a couple days and then I tried again. I got a salad and once I got to work wouldn't you know it! ANOTHER HAIR! I was frustrated but I could not change the situation so I tossed it. Well after a few good visits I thought we were on good terms but NOPE. This is absolutely disgusting. How does this even happen?
