They got me. 4 star rating, over 1,200 reviews. That seemed OK. I usually read low rated reviews to get an idea of what to expect or to just avoid an establishment altogether. It was late, the exterior of the property looked decent, the front office looked OK, and we were tired. After driving 10 hours, we just needed a place to stay the night before a flight, and this place was 5 minutes from the car rental agency, so we decided to stay. Big mistake. On a positive note, Danielle at the front desk was pleasant. She was friendly and made a few recommendations for nearby restaurants. She called the room about 10-15 minutes after we had checked in to see how we were. At that point, we were still cleaning out our rental car and hadn't seen the condition of the room. Looking back, the strong smell of scented Raid upon entering the room should've been a sign that we should turn around and leave. The main light to the room was not working. The cabinets and counter top were old and damaged. One of the legs of a table near the front door is broken, taped, and about to fall apart. The toilet seat rim had a brown stain. My husband walked barefooted on the laminate/hardwood floor, and within a few minutes his feet turned black from the dirtiness. It seems like the floor hasn't been mopped in a long time, if ever. There was no garbage can. The refrigerator, though damaged, was surprisingly clean given the condition of the rest of the room. Apparently, it wasn't a great neighborhood either. At around midnight, there were people talking loud enough for us to hear. It seemed as if they were in the parking lot just outside the window of our room. It sounded like they were arguing. Then there was a constant knocking sound coming from the same area. I picked up the phone to call the front desk, but then realized it was probably closed and nothing could be done. Fortunately, we were so exhausted that we finally just fell asleep. We would definitely NOT RECOMMEND staying at this property.

If you are a single female I would definitely not recommend staying here. Very unsafe environment. As for the quality of the rooms; a USED CONDOM was on the floor of the first room (refer to photo as if the condom were the Where’s Waldo🤮), the room was also super dirty. They exchanged my room but it was also in poor condition - Musty old cigarette smell, constant dripping kitchen sink, loud gurgling refrigerator, and a chronically choppy cable connection. On two occasions male guests approached me during the 4 nights I was staying on site, either while unloading items from my car or when walking my dog on the grounds — both men attempted to start uncomfortable conversations, asking if I had a cigarette (I don’t smoke) or offering to party back at their room and get high (what on earth would compel someone to solicit this off the bat when approaching a stranger?!!). Management at this location obviously is aware of the complaints because when I notified staff on the day I arrived regarding the used condom on the floor, I was met with nervous laughter and a new room and nothing more. Like it was commonplace. The same applies to when I notified staff at the beginning of stay regarding my safety concerns. Also, the interior of the rooms are definitely not as pictured in the Google business photos for this specific location. The first level rooms did not have carpet. If I could rename this Extended Stay America I would name it “Sketchy Rat Dungeon Inn”. For those contemplating booking here, reroute, because almost any place else would be leaps and bounds better than laying your head down here for a single night. RE: To Extended Stay Americas response— While I appreciate the B.S. response per Company “face saving” policy standards. This only serves as a skirting method to push down customer complaints. Nothing within your response is of any real significance after-the-fact. You are required to do better for future consumers at this location.

I checked in late because of a late flight. As soon as I opened the door I could see the floors were dirty. Once I walked into my room the floors were sticky. The bed and bathroom looked ok, the kitchen very dated. By then it’s midnight, I’m tired. I took a hand towel from the bathroom, wet it down and wiped down the dirty floors. The white hand towel was black with dirt and something else. It was disgusting. I took pictures. With the floor cleaner I went to bed and slept well. On Friday I received a call that my father was very ill and I needed to fly back home. So I went to the hotel office and told them I wanted to check out early. Danielle the manager told me it was too late to checkout Friday but that she would check me out Saturday morning and email me my recipe. We rechecked to be sure she had my correct email. I gave her my room key and left. It’s Saturday there was no email, none on Sunday either. Sunday I called the hotel and talked to Sam the front desk person. I asked if he could tell me if I was checked out Saturday. He said he had no access to that information and couldn’t get it for me. I asked to talk to a manager and he said there was none there and he didn’t know if one would be in today 11/12/23 or the next day. He did not seem to care at all. Such bad customer service. I would appreciate a email with my recipe for my stay. I should not be charged for 3 nights because I told Danielle I was checking out early. Please contact me Thank You

The manager here is the worst individual I have ever encountered with the title of manager. Incompetent is being generous when describing her work style... She has her boy friend or significant other ( who also works there ) make treating call to tenants instead of her being professional and making the call her self as the manager and dealing with any issue instead of having her BF try to scare them off. Well I don't scare easily... Up until today the limited interactions I did have with this person Danielle Jimenez, were kept cordial and professional I say limited access because in the entire six or seven months that I've been here I've spoken to her maybe twice she has her cleaning lady handle issues that she should be I thought the cleaning lady was actually the manager until our interaction today so limited being that there's hardly anybody ever in the office here talk to or handle tenant issues in if there is 9 times out of 10 it is not the manager Danielle. My rent was due this past Sunday unfortunately I left the complex at 6:00 or 7:00 a.m. in the morning and returned after the office is closed Even knowing that the office is closed I went there and attempted to pay anyway and get a new room key this was denied The following day I'm awaken to somebody pounding on their door saying that they needed them written when you know Fair enough but my mother has a visiting nurse here and that's why she is in this hellhole to begin with so after explaining that we have a visiting nurse if I could make payment after the fact that would be great The lady left and about 45 minutes later and even harder pounding on the door I look up I'm going to do to see not much but her so I open the door she said she needs to rent money now and I explain to her again that visiting nurse will be here within 15 minutes if we could handle this after she says no she called the police the police were in the parking lot going to do a trespass on me if I did not pay her at this very moment so I asked her how much I owe she could not give an exact amount she said 120 something so with the urgency of her calling the police and pounding on the door making requests that I pay the rent immediately you think she would have an exact number of what was needed she did not I don't know why her being again incompetent at her job is more than likely the reason she says follow her to the office I do so except I get to the office before her and again I'm left dealing with the cleaning lady who tells me a different amount from what she told me about 10 or 15 minutes later she arrives at the office with a third amount didn't even match the first time I should given me when she's knocked on my room door again the competence with this woman and I use that term loosely runs rampant if she was a form of incompetence it would be a bumper crop this season.... The police didn't ever make contact with me I've never have given her a reason to call the police but she did for some reason I guess as an intimidation tactic when her boyfriend didn't work she also had two people follow me through the parking lot in a gray SUV giving me dirty looks the entire tone I'm guessing this is someone maybe her uncle or father or brother or whoever but again not being scared easy I could continue to go about my business and just have them a circle around the parking lot two to three times until I decided to go in. Again I've been nothing but respectful to these people up until today when I felt disrespected I made sure that I let them know I was feeling disrespected and they did not care upon checking into this facility I let them know my mother's health issues despite that today she since she doesn't care about my mother's health conditions and this is not a nursing facility after spending $7,000 or so on my time here then to be treated like this... avoid this place like the plague if I'm checking in Express in need for a quiet area for my mother to recover I was placed next to A barking dog and a crazy woman who never sleeps....

Positives: There is a storage facility, 3 grocery stores (Target, Safeway, and Vitamin Cottage), a Petsmart, Gym, 3 MJ Dispensaries, and 2 dog-friendly parks all within 5 minute walk. The staff is willing to work with you on pricing and room accommodation if you are kind and empathetic. The rooms are all somewhat unique and mostly have working fixtures (I've stayed in 3 rooms over the last 20 days.) They have no issues with dogs, but you get a $25/day fee up to $150 total for your stay You can usually find parking at the hotel The staff is friendly and they always try their best to help with what you need.

Negatives No security cameras are on site My room had the metal door bent in so it couldn't lock fully which was scary given no security cameras. Cleaning is set to "once every 2 weeks" by default for long-term stays so you need to let them know you want it more often. I ended up cleaning my own room because they don't clean the floors very well Many of the rooms have broken appliances, electrical issues, or physical damage Do your laundry elsewhere because it's $2.75 to wash and $2.00 to dry and you need cash to get quarters from the front desk.

Advice The staff has to follow corporate policies that are designed to remove any power from middle-mamagement. They have to do their work on ipads and constantly have to excuse issues with the property. They upgrade and bounce people around in their reservations. While this isn't necessarily bad for the customer because people get better deals and better rooms that are worth the price they are paying for them, it ends up systemically impacting the efficiency and consistency of service from a management point of view and then makes people wonder why they are paying higher prices for the quality of the room they are getting...and then always have to complain to get the nicer rooms. If you belong to a discount status like military affiliation, persons with disabilities, etc...the price is lower for short term stays as compared to other nearby hotels, but long-term you may be suited best elsewhere unless you pick a good time when there is a deal going on. Book for the longest stay you can in their bulk rate. If you think you are going to stay for longer thab 7 days, book the monthly rate and then leave when you want and get a prorated refund. Don't buy the enhanced internet Be nice to the people working there. They are only doing what corporate is pushing on them...and they deal with shifty people all day. Have compassion and you...

All hotel rooms should be like these — at least in terms of having a refrigerator and a way to cook. It made my stay so much easier, and so much less expensive by being able to cook pretty much whatever I wanted myself. And that they did this without charging me an arm and a leg suggests to me that there's no good reason that this shouldn't be the standard. The service staff was very friendly, and having on-site laundry was really helpful. The Wi-Fi wants to offer to charge you for premium service when you first sign into it, suggesting that you will need it to stream video — but the free version works just fine for that, and it met all my needs without having to shell out more money. It didn't feel throttled at all, except for the very rare occasion where there was a service interruption.

Most of my complaints are nitpicks — but there were a bunch of 'em, so they add up. While the room overall appeared clean, the floors were quite dirty, as walking on them barefoot revealed. The curtains on the window don't properly close, which meant I had to clip them shut using items I had with me to get proper privacy in the room. The lack of a plug-in accessible on the side of the bed with the nightstand was irritating in the age of the cell phone. A shelf inside of the refrigerator fell out as soon as I tried to use it, and looks like it had barely been suspended in there and was already partly broken when I went to use it. When I renewed for a second and third week, my key cards stopped working each time without warning, and I had to go to the office to get them renewed — didn't even get a heads up first, meaning I could have easily gotten stuck outside my room at a critical time. At one point my stove top stopped working, and it took two days from it being reported for them to do anything about it. The vending machines which it advertises were nowhere to be found, apparently out for repairs the whole time I was there. Part way through my stay, they started to be quite a bit of noise somewhere above me, even at odd hours of the night — I've stayed in hotels with rooms above me many times, and this is the first time that's ever been a problem. I could also, at one point, hear my next door neighbor getting a phone call through the wall. And lastly, when I went to try to take an actual bath in the bathtub, the drain wouldn't shut for me to do it, despite having a built-in stopper. None of these things are a big deal in and of themselves, but I feel like the list of irritating things was a bit too long to...
