24 Hour Fitness — Local services in Denver

Just did a Zumba class here with Nic and it was a really mixed experience.

First, I’ll start with the gym. It was really dark, and it seemed as if some of the lights were off. I’m not obsessed about working out but I’d like to be able to see myself to check my form. The gym is also literally ONE huge room, and very cluttered. I generally like 24 hour fitness because each area feels a tad bit separate, but this is the machine equivalent of a summer Vegas pool party.

The parking garage, like many say, looks like it is falling apart. It severely lacks signage. But it’s nice to not have to worry about parking like other gyms with smaller lots.

Now, the Zumba class:

Let me begin by saying the instructor was fantastic. He really made me want to dance but didn’t make me feel like I had to be embarrassed about my awkward body rolls or seizure-like attempts at twerking. My problem with the class was the other attendees (and there were TONS of attendees). I got in the room before most of the other people, and felt like I was the new kid in high school, unknowingly sitting in someone’s seat, and becoming the schools number 1 enemy. One guy literally stood within a foot of me and gave me this long, sharp stare, as if he had built the floor I walked on himself and carved his name into it. This happened not once, not twice, but three times... I eventually moved to the back of the (very crowded) room where my glasses-less eyes squinted at Nic the whole time to attempt to see the moves that everyone else so clearly had memorized.

I plan on coming back, because like I said, Nic was amazing. I guess maybe I’ll be accepted with the cool...

I signed up for this place a month ago and I wish I hadn't. Never got a tour, never was informed that one has to reserve pool time ahead of time. I instead was berated by another swimmer over that. I have injuries that preclude me from using weights and treadmills. Swimming is really my only option as far as fitness goes. Now the pool is down and I literally am paying for nothing. Not even the manager really cares to rectify the problem, instead they told me to go somewhere else. Anyways, there's sand in the pool all the time and the filter smelled like sewage. I wonder how clean the rest of the facility is. Here's a letter from when I complained.

I apologize for the less than pristine state of our facility. Our filtration system actually broke down and we will hopefully be getting a new one. This will prevent the sand from kicking up in the pool. I understand that cleaning the bottom of the pool once a month may not be sufficient enough, but if I had the man power and the labor budget to clean more often I would.

I want to thank you for your service, and because of that I want to be 100% honest with you. Our facilities are not going to improve much as 24 does not believe in renovating their older facilities. My recommendation is to go to Chuze Fitness on Monaco Parkway. Their facilities are much newer, the company believes heavily on upkeep, and they are cheaper as well.

Whoever is working today June 1st 2025 at 1:50, she answered the phone & sounded like a 5 year old child. I asked to speak to the manager she asked what she could help me with I told her my 14-year-old son came in there to find out about a pass and she tried to charge him $30 for a three day pass when it says on your website that there is a three day pass for free to try the facility. I was waiting in the car for him expecting to come inside to sign something. Instead he came out and said that the woman in there tried to charge him $30 for a pass and she said it’s $30 for a three day pass online it clearly states that it’s free pass. She tried to rip my 14 year old son off. When I talk to her and asked her about it she said it’s because you have a basketball court and because of the basketball court they charge $30 for three day pass that there is no free 3 day pass?!? Ok???when I asked to speak to the manager because she said she was not the manager she hung up on me. No worries though I called planet fitness they actually have a program from June 1st to August 1st for Kids 14- through 17 to work out as much as they’d like and use their gym for free It all worked out but very unprofessional very rude hung up in my face when I asked to speak to a manager it’s unexceptionable. Is the little girl working there answering the phones & acting like a manager racist?!? What’s the reason...
