I stayed in many hotels around the world including no shortage of five star accommodations. The service here is absolutely five star. Bernard 💓💓💓. We were here for a medical treatment at National Jewish Hospital (the top respiratory clinical and research facility in the world)||On our second day at the facility with my family member, I forgot a piece of my own medical equipment. ||When I requested, they were able to go into the room, identify the piece of equipment I needed, bring it down to the front desk so that an Uber driver could pick it up and bring it to me. ||That’s just one of many examples the cleaning staff was incredible||THE BREAKFASTS. Hotel free breakfasts have gotten skimpier and skimpier, but not here||They always had a specialty egg dish either a croissant with Canadian bacon and cheese, for these amazing little frittatas with cheese, spinach, eggs, scrambled eggs or fried egg patties, always hard boiled eggs, plenty of Chobani yogurt. oatmeal with more toppings than I knew what to do with – pumpkin seeds!, Walnuts, almonds slivers, dried apricots, Craisins, granola. Milk coffee tea juice. Bagels, Fantastic blueberry muffins, these amazing little chocolate and cream cheese muffins||Y’all. Marriott has made me a customer for life with this experience. ||We were here for two weeks so something could’ve gone wrong, it would have. ||The bed was comfy, they had both a soft fluffy pillow and a firmer pillow. ||The rooms themselves were pretty sparsely appointed and you can hear people walking above you, so I recommend staying on the fourth floor||I love it here and we will be back probably twice a year for my family member||And my goodness, if anybody in your family needs respiratory care, allergy and immunology, specialized ENT, airway focused gastroenterology, FOLKS!!!! THIS IS IT. ||My family member and I actually have a similar health issue and we have struggled to find people who could properly understand it, identify it, diagnose it, inform appropriate treatment plans for it. And this was across three states. I’m in Atlanta Georgia and it took me about 20 to 25 years to get an appropriate diagnosis. I’m now with pulmonologist Colin Swenson @Emory and he is OUTSTANDING. My family member has worked with pulmonologist in Florida and in Michigan and finally out of desperation we came here for the comprehensive team approach. The only mistake we made was waiting so long to book. Once you book here it takes about four months to get in 💗💗💗|If you read this far, it’s time to go book your stay, and be sure to have a spinach and cheese “soufflé” for me. Some of the restaurants in this little cluster of buildings are also fantastic. The shrimp tacos at the little Mexican place 3 doors down are OUT OF...
Read moreChecked into the room and found hair literally everywhere (in the shower, around the base of the toilet, in All drawers) including underwear from the previous guest. The floor wasn't swept or rag mopped. The bed was made, but when i pulled back the top sheet, it was as if someone had been laying in it already. Called the front desk, she was extremely apologetic, offered me either points or a partial refund (which I prefer because I dont travel much), and moved me into another room. The floor wasn't touched in this room as well (crumbs and dirt lined the baseboards in the kitchenette and bedroom, nail clippings from previous guest next to bed, hair in the bathroom, and urine along the base of toilet as well as on the wall behind the toilet. I slept on the couch because i was tired and didn't want to deal with moving again. I was to check in on Thursday and depart that Saturday. Unfortunately, I had a family emergency and needed to check out Friday instead. In a worrisome panic, I agreed to 500 pts and a $50 refund due to cancelation, when I had already agreed to a partial refund the night before but wasn't given the option in the morning. I spoke to Front Desk Manager, face to face, at around 9:30-10am, well before check out and way before check-in. There was an ample amount of time to add the room onto a cleaning chart. Therefore, Saturday, although reserved, should Not have been charged. When I spoke to her again, I explained that 500 pts do not suffice because I hardly travel and was given the option (night before) for money back, plus stated that I need as much money back as possible (fam emergency). She got upset for some reason, but that didn't bother me. To calm things, I informed her that I was a supervisor in housekeeping and understood that we are human, and sometimes we miss things or get tired and slack off, especially when housekeepers are Self Inspecting. She said that none of the housekeepers are self Inspectors and that the housekeeping manager and supervisor inspect the rooms. That's troublesome and shows work ethic. Front Desk Manager said she apologizes for both rooms and would charge $150 for the 1 night stay, no charges for canceling Saturday, and refunded me $50 for the hsk trouble. She then gave me a printout of what I thought was my receipt, and I left. Get home and notice the amount of $160 printed towards the bottom but it's not a receipt, so I have no idea, what that amount pertains to. It's been 5 days, no refund and my account is STILL pending $460 when the online reservation said $407. Either way, this is 100 %...
Read moreOverall we had a great experience. The location was excellent and having restaurants 200-400 feet away was so convenient. We loved the fact that our room was very spacious and that there was an indoor pool and hot tub available for use.
The staff was wonderful, except for the last day of our stay. The individual at the front desk on Sunday, March 7th, didn’t make eye contact during the 4 separate interactions we had with her on that day (with either me or my husband). She multitasked while taking our questions and seemed annoyed when we asked for bandaids. Going above and beyond for the customer only came into play when we requested a late check out and were granted more time than we needed (which we greatly appreciated!).
Our feedback would be to just remember that customer service goes a very long way when there are many hotel options, we love Residence Inn and are unsure if we would stay at this location again. We suggest to clean the rooms more thoroughly - we shouldn’t find condom wrappers and dirt in the corners of the room - really love the sanitization wipes in each room though! Our room’s lightbulbs were not all in functioning order and the window stoppers didn’t stay securely in place. The ceiling has clearly and visibly been painted in spots, as the gloss was completely off in the patchwork. The whole room could use a fresh coat of paint and some updated furniture in the living room. The couch sagged and had visible stains on the cushions and armrests.
Finally, from a safety and risk mitigation standpoint, we would strongly recommend considering putting up warnings (at a bare minimum) for the floor slickness in the showers and the flooring around the pool. Our 6 year old daughter slipped and was moderately hurt as a result 4 times - 1 time in the pool area and 3 times in the shower itself. There isn’t anything to hold onto once in the shower and the risk seems to be unnecessarily high in...
