Costa Vida is great for the fresh ingredients. They are pretty much pressing the dough and cooking the tortillas as you order them. You can see them grilling the chicken too.
As mentioned in other reviews, they have a similar model to Chipotle and Qdoba, but I like this place better. I'm not into beans, so I get the rice and meat. Costa Vida gives more meat than the other places, and it's better.
The pork and shredded beef are juicy and wet while the other places are pretty dry. That's great for the burritos, but I'm not sure if it's good for the nachos, not that I've tried them yet. I don't want soggy chips. I wish Costa Vida would offer ground beef as an option.
They have daily specials with a drink which I think keeps the price a bit lower than the other places, plus they have a good eClub which offers further discounts and savings (you can scan your receipt to get more savings).
The standard salsa and sauces they offer are not very spicy, and I wish they'd offer something a bit hotter. Maybe they do, but I haven't asked. If you don't like sweet, then keep away from the green chili sauce and the shredded pork, which has kind of a BBQ sauce (I like...
Read moreA hidden gem for those craving a delicious burrito or taco salad. The ordering process is similar to Chipotle or Qdoba, but that's where the similarities stop. This is not another Chipotle wannabe. The flavors are fresh, unique and I can't wait to explore more of the flavor combinations. I ordered a large grilled steak, rice and beans salad with a cilantro lime vinaigrette. Every bite was a little fiesta in my mouth. The steak was packed with flavor and super tender. It was the real deal. No gristle! Right? A little miracle compared to Chipotle. The salad greens were crisp and fresh. The vinaigrette was a delicious change of pace from the typical "cheese" concoction to elevate the flavors. My wife got sweet shredded pork and was raving about it. My one small complaint was the dining room was pretty grungy. I don't know if they just survived a huge lunch rush right before we got there but all the tables were dirty and the trash can was literally overflowing. Watching staff try to squeeze all the trash down to try and change it out wasn't very appetizing to watch. But that's probably not typical so I don't want to lower the score for the food (which is why you're...

If you want more than a tiny bit of salsa it costs Extra! They don't even tell you ahead of time. So I wanted the mango salsa and the Pico but NOT for extra money! Sat down in a booth and it broke! As you can see from the photo the$9.98 enchilada is really 1/2 the size of the same priced burrito.]] Everything tastes fresh and yummy. It is not a spicy Mexican food. I feel like it has more of a tropical twist to it. If you get their special of the day it includes a drink and is $8.49. The meals are quite large and served in to go dishes whether you eat it there or not. It works like Chipotle or Qdoba basically where you stand in line and your food is fixed as you order it. I didn't feel like it was very covid-19 safe. All the tables seem to be open they didn't have x's on the floor therefore people were not social distancing. Their drink fountain is open for everybody serving their selves including refills. They do have a nice patio for eating outside and proper...
