I realize 2/5 is very poor, so let me preface that our interactions with the staff have been nothing but delightful. Aside from that however, we've tried Vitality Bowls twice since they opened, and haven't found many reasons to return, which is sad because we were excited to have a new healthy option in the area.
The first time we visited, we each tried a panini. It wasn't until we got home that we realize how absolutely tiny they were, about the size of a hamburger bun. The paninis also weren't hot had no grill marks, and the cheese wasn't even melted, which was disappointing. We esch had to each something else to have a full dinner after paying over $20 for our meals and a tip.
The second time, we each tried the nutty (acai) bowls. We ordered online and paid extra for each bowl to have granola on the bottom as well as the top. When we arrived, we were told it would only be a couple more minutes as they were finishing the toppings which was fine. After 10 or 15 more minutes, our food came out and we headed home, where we found that neither bowl had the extra granola we paid for on the bottom. I realize it sounds cheap, but you generally expect to get what you paid for, and when you pay extra, you REALLY expect to get what you paid for. The food was actually good in comparison to the paninis, but this again was really disappointing, as we both ordered the smaller size, had 50% off one of the bowls with a coupon, and our order was still well over $20 for two incorrect dinners.
We expect that the staff is probably still learning, and that the service and food should hopefully improve in the future as the store has more time to get into the groove. That being said, at the current price point, I'm not sure we'll be able to justify returning. For example, Qwench is only 9 minutes away from a Vitality Bowls, and for under $10, you can get an acai bowl that is roughly twice the size of the ones we each paid $12 or so. I hope for the sake of the community, this place gets a lot better, as it'd be a great option, and if we ever try it again and have a better experience, I'll be sure to...
Read moreI happened to be in Colorado Springs so I stopped by since the Castle Rock location has closed. I really really wanted a dragon bowl. It's so delicious. I was thrilled to finally have one in my hands once again. My favorite topping is the goji berries, to the point where I almost paid for extra. Sadly as I'm driving back to Castle Rock I open my bowl to find NO goji berries. I was devastated. I quickly looked up the ingredients because maybe this location didn't include goji berries, but the website said that indeed was supposed to be a topping. The bowl I had been dreaming about for weeks wasn't going to be the same. Am I being dramatic? Yes. But was I bummed? Also yes. Make sure to try this place out, it's delish. But double check your order before you leave so you don't run into this...
Read moreusually i like this place- i order from there 2-3x a week. but today was just downright frustrating. they had a BOGO 50% create your own bowl 4/6/25 only. so we went in and asked some questions- staff had absolutely no knowledge to what bases we could put in our “create your own bowl” and had no idea how to do the promotion whatsoever. i wanted the “create your own bowl” version of the vitality bowl and the warrior bowl for my grandma and staff had no knowledge of how to put it in the system for the promotion. 3 other people behind us even asked the exact same question and staff had no idea. so we just left. don’t run a promotion if you haven’t trained your staff on how to do it. so...
