We drove 12 hours from SD and were so very pleasantly surprised with this awesome urban type hotel after a long and tiring drive with our kids and dog. I will give 5 stars to any hotel that is clean and a comfortable stay, that's really all you need after a long drive and it's much appreciated. This hotel goes far beyond your average clean and comfy stay. Every inch of the hotel is incredible! Upon arrival, my energetic children rushing to the potty, myself and pup were welcomed by extremely nice staff, clean and lounge type lobby, it was a refreshing first impression of the hotel. Rooms were beautiful, clean, very fun design with the bathroom tile and the awesome KING sized bunk bed! They gave a few gifts, a delicious lavender fudge, very clean dog bed, raised dog bowls, a bandana and COOKIE for my pup! Those were included w the very affordable $75 pet fee for my 85lb bernedoodle. The beds were super comfy which is a very.big deal after traveling all day. The views, tall ceilings and huge windows were a great plus. The restaurant is gorgeous, I love the dining domes and converted dining gondolas on the rooftop restaurant deck. The coffee bar downstairs had great food (specifically loved the salmon lox bagel and vanilla latte) good selection and quality. They have 1 large jacuzzi, which we were very thankful for in 23 degree weather. Our family would much rather have a hot tub over a pool anyways. We also discovered they have a stinking BMX bike track in the back. We are pretty sure we met thr owner in the morning. Dog loving, very friendly man that anyone would love to talk to. Made very easy non contact text check out. My husband said the gym was awesome. The best part which I'm sure will change, this totally fun and funky upscale (luxury in my opinion) was the same price as your average holiday inn if not less (less than $200 for our bunk bed room) Such a cool option w kids rather than a suite Happy to find our new forever pit stop! I'm more than Excited to return! They also said we have free access to their rec center down the road 5 min walk) ans an awesome looking kids museum is across the...
Read moreDefinitely a teaching hotel. It felt like the whole experience was bad due to a lack of communication and maybe some billing mistakes. A lot of important details are written and not spoken. It feels like hidden fees that you have to read the fine print to see. Maybe hotel teaching is teaching these kids to read everything they sign.
First, they said we had the AAA discount our bill does not represent that and the prices this hotel offers vary drastically between Expedia, hotel.com and it’s own website. Kinda extremely expensive.
We never got any housekeeping which is due to Covid you have to ask for it but we were not aware of this and were shocked to learn that we would not get housekeeping because we asked too late. Our expensive room stayed dirty with an unmade bed throughout our stay. Lack of communication here.
The staff are all very nice and accommodating. But it seemed like the preparation for our room prior to our arrival wasn’t there. We had to ask for the robe that was supposed to be in our room and the dog bed that we laid $150 for.
Also no one told us it was $75 per night for the dog, that was written on the dog form but I swear when I booked my room over the phone with the hotel no one said it was per night, just a non refundable deposit. 2 nights here with our dog and one small cheesecake from the restaurant came out to almost $900. Kinda ridiculous expensive.
In summary, this place is a learning center and you shouldn’t expect anything other then that. Little details were missed in our experience that I was looking forward to and for almost $450 per night it was bad. I will not be returning but everyone else should go because each bad experience is a learning moment. I called to figure out why my bill is so high and it’s taken almost 10 minutes to “figure out what’s happening”. At least I’m providing a...
Read moreI am a Cardiologist with a Doctorate from Harvard Medical School with high honors. I came from Denver for a quick visit to Grand Junction to give a lecture to GJ's local cardiologists. After the lecture when I came home at 11 pm, my air-conditioning wasn't working in my room. The fan would come on but it wasnt cooling and it was 96 degrees outside. All night long, I didn't sleep a wink because I kept calling the front desk and texting them on their messaging system the horribly rude front desk guy Cory Robinson was busy slacking off and didnt answer back. When I came down in the morning at 5 am, I got a "I didn't see your message because it opens in another text window" without so much as an apology for their busted system. No explanation for why they didn't answer. What if it was an emergency?? Also the check out system was broken, so they couldn't check me out! And there were no uber drivers driving at that time. and they werent able to have the courtesy to call me a taxi.
Then, the "supervisor" Hailey Park (who never called me despite my leaving a request) and I called many hours later to has the audacity to say that it was "user error" on the A/C - again, not even a simple apology or acknowledgment that the front desk should ANSWER PHONES in the middle of the night!
Front desk Corey Robinson is probably one of the rudest and most unprofessional people I've ever met. He certainly should not be greeting guests! He slacked off all night, didn't check the text or answer phones and your supervisor just covered for him and blamed me instead of apologizing for his behavior and holding him accountable.
Nice hotel but worst management I have ever encountered! Terrible service and they blame the guests instead of acknowledging that their AC was broken.
