The restaurant was clean enough. There was some old food on the walls but the tables were clean. My fiancé and I immediately noticed that the soups looked old and hadn’t been stirred in a while. Having worked in the food industry, I can easily spot when something has just been sitting for a few hours. We came in around 7:00pm so I understand that we arrived after the dinner rush. However, the food was blatantly old and had a film on top that would’ve turned a street rat away. We noticed on the wall it read “good, Really good” in regards to the soup. If you are going to make such a claim, I would at least expect one of the 3 employees standing around to stir it. Both of our soup dishes tasted bad and made us regret having bought them. My sandwich was fair and her salad was a bit on the sweet side. The side of bread was stale and hard. It needed to be soaked in the soup in order to be edible. For a place that charges nearly 30 dollars for two people to eat a substandard portion. I would expect good food. Especially when the worst part of the meal was the thing the restaurant was known for. The service was okay and I have no complaints with the people. Just a ridiculous price for a horrible product. Unless you are here in the morning when the soup is fresh, don’t bother. It’s obvious that no one involved cares about product quality and...
Read moreZERO STARS! My coworker and I placed an order for delivery. They delivered, but half of that order was missing. Called them to inquire about getting missing items delivered (their meals aren't exactly cheap), and they told us to contact the driver. We have no way of knowing who out delivery driver was as there is no contact info on the receipt or "order tracker" on the website. Called them back to tell them this, and they were very adamant that GrubHub delivered (again, we ordered straight from the Zoup website). They offered me the GrubHub number, which I took. Called that number and was connected to DIRECT TV. Got the GrubHub number myself, spent forever on the phone with them only to find out they were in fact NOT the entity that delivered our order. So, called Zoup AGAIN and was told I could not speak to a manager and that I needed to call back because they were busy.. all the while, my food is sitting on their counter! They also stated many times that they will not refund my money, which I never asked them to do. I just want my food delieved. They kept insisting that I "just come pick it up", although I have already paid their delivery fee and obviously cannot come pick it up hence WHY I ORDERED DELIVERY. The staff here refuse to own their mistakes or even talk to me! Now I have paid $20 plus a delivery fee for food I...
Read moreDisappointing to say the least. My wife & I swung through because we heard they have a "choose two" type of a lunch menu which gives a half sandwich/have something else portion. We're retired and the smaller options fit our appetite just fine. We both chose a sandwich/salad combo. My wife the Cobb salad option and me the Caesar salad option. The sandwiches were hot and tasty but the salads were ridiculous. Caesar salad not made with Romaine? Cobb not made with iceberg, Romaine or some such? No. Both made with their so-called "lively greens." Shame on me for not asking ahead of time, I took the term "lively greens" as a moniker describing the freshness or something about their greens. But no, "lively greens" are a mixture of spinach, arugula and kale. Barf. We've eaten at other restaurants during certain greens shortages i.e. Romaine shortages and they stipulate that the Caesar will be made with iceberg or some such. I guess this must just be their standard fare. Color me fooled I guess though I suppose I should never assume in today's world of roots and berries. If you like spinach, kale, arugula, roots and berries, this is you place. #neveragain
Oh, and I forgot, $28.00 (plus tip) for that was way too much deniro even if the salads had the...
