Koury Convention Center — Local services in Greensboro

I was having a good time here for my group convention and needed a fun way to pass the time in the lobby and maybe see some familiar faces. I decided to ride the escalator up and down over and over (NO ONE WAS ON THE ESCALATOR). After about 5 or so minutes of this, an employee, who I had seen stop other people staying for no reason, decided to stop me. I would like to note that he may have been with the hotel or whatever his badge was for, but either way, the hotel was fine with this behavior. He said that I, a light person compared to a lot of people, was going to break the escalator by riding it. I then proceeded to ask him (in a confused tone) why I would break it and not all the other people who rode it daily. He proceeded to talk to me rudely as if I was below him and told me to shut up and choose if I wanted up or down. I understand his thoughts, but he took it to extremes and could’ve been a...

Beautiful Hotel, if everything is working. Some hotel help were hospitable others acted as if they could care less, ie maid/housekeeper on 17th floor cold unresponsive when asked for extra towels; gift shop guy, no enthusiasm a tall!! Café person seem like as an ¿African? first experience with the multitude of folks. Caucasian work older women very cordial. Young foreign lady dark hair "slow" but kind. African American young light skin individual Very cocky & arrogant, when, asked if we may have a late check out, his demeaning remark "were trying to get this entire group out at noon." Every time I have visited the Triad I've stayed at this property, it is centrally located, clean and secure. I made the mistake just this past weekend of booking elsewhere mainly for the cost.

My not staying at this location made me miss this so much that I cancelled my 4 night reservation at the other location and spent my last 3 nights here.

The Sheraton/Koury is absolutley beautiful inside and out. Koury's staff is professional helpful and pleasant to deal with.

Covid-19 makes my stay at hotels stressful to say the least but the hotel's cleanliness and Covid adjustments make me feel comfortable.
