The weekend of A&T's homecoming, I was in town. I visited this Chick-fil-A and tried to order the "Tiktok" meal. You need a salad bowl for this, as I've done it many times and many different locations. Some have charged for the bowl, some have not. I have no problem paying additional cost. The young man taking my order wasn't aware of this order, so he asked a couple of ladies who fixing the food. (One was a shift manager) The way they answered him was rude. They dismissed the cashier as if he wasn't there, by just shaking their heads no. I then stated I'm willing to pay a fee if that's what I need to do. He went back and asked again, "another head shake no" without acknowledging him again. That didn't sit well with me. I have no problem being told I couldn't buy the salad bowl, unless I purchased a salad (most places will give you the reason they don't allow it) but to dismissed the cashier like he was bothering them, is unacceptable. I decided not to order at all. But that didn't sit well with me. As my party was eating their food, I went back up to the counter and asked for a manager. This was a different young lady. I explained to her what happened. She proceeded to tell me the store policy on the salad bowls. Great, I get that and would have gotten it, if it were told to the cashier and to me. I explained that I didn't appreciate those young ladies dismissing the cashier and it was rude to do it in front of customers. She apologized and was very sweet. The following week, I attempted to reach out to the General Manager Greg, but was told he wasn't in. I was never offered to leave my name and number or if they could help me with anything. Again, that interaction put a sour taste in my mouth and I will no longer visit that location when in town. There is some training that needs to be done. ALL employees need to be treated with respect. I doubt the owners of this location want to continue to get reviews like...
Read moreI drive for DoorDash to earn some extra cash now and then, and overall, my experience has been quite pleasant. However, things took a turn tonight during a delivery from Chick-fil-A at Gate City The place was bustling, as expected. I kept the customer informed about the delay and patiently waited for the order. After about 10-15 minutes, I asked a cashier about the order status, but it seemed chaotic with many DoorDashers waiting.
I then approached another representative, who turned out to be a Manager named Ashley, though her behavior didn't reflect that title. When I inquired about the order status, Ashley rudely replied, "obviously, I do not know," and walked away. I called her back, asked for her name, and mentioned her unnecessary attitude. She responded with, "I don't know, You can call corporate and I don't care." Unfortunately, I couldn't record the incident due to the ongoing DoorDash order.
Interestingly, a few minutes after our encouter, a Caucasian lady behind me asked Ashley about her order, Ashley promptly checked and updated her. The contrast in treatment was evident. I decided to take a snapshot as I planned to escalate this to corporate. Surprisingly, Ashley threatened to call the police. Quite a frustrating and unfair experience.
Chick-fil-A I implore you to not only look into this incident but into this managing employee as well. The behavior she displayed towards me this evening does not align with your core values.

Read moreThis is my 2nd time eating at this new Chick-fil-A. I love this restaurant chain, but there are several things that I don't like this particular location. The biggest thing I dislike is the parking lot. It doesn't feel safe to me when I turn into it, when I'm turning out of it, when I'm walking across it, and when I'm backing out of my parking space. Traffic flow is awkward and the afternoon sun makes it even more hazardous. As if that isn't enough, access to the lot sits in a curve making it hard to see street traffic.
Last time I was at this restaurant I sat in the drive thru for a very l o n g time. I decided to avoid all of that today and went inside. There was no line. My cashier was friendly and took my order immediately. I began telling him what I wanted and when I was finished he asked me my name for the order. I told him and after he entered my name he began entering my order. In short time I had my order and was out the door.
Oh no! My order was wrong so all of the time I thought I was saving by going inside was lost when I had to return the order. Evidently when you tell them that you want a Chick-fil-A, you get a piece of chicken in a plastic container instead of their original Chick-fil-A sandwich. Who would have thought? The return was painless and I was told they would have a word with the...
