Smoke Free Beach View Casino Resort — Hotel in Gulfport

We really enjoyed our trip! The chocolate chip muffins in the lobby coffee shop are the best. We ate them daily. The 21+ smoke free property will bring me back. I didn't previously like casinos because of the smoke and now I can enjoy it with my husband and parents. The Beach View casino is open, airy with high ceilings, and has views of the water while you play. We enjoyed the relaxing kid free pool and the bar tender, Matthew, makes great Mai Tai drinks. The swim up bar is fun with a beautiful view of the beach. To the property management, our only suggestion would be to replace the worn out pool lounge chairs. We stayed in the pool more because the chairs were so uncomfortable. The room was comfortable, modern and functional. All the restaurants were fantastic too. We ate at the Prime Cut, Dockside Deli with beach view, and the Carter Green Steakhouse. We will definitely go back to the steakhouse restaurants next time. I don't eat steak, but enjoyed my seafood and the service was terrific too. The live music was great, but ended at 11pm, so that was a bummer. It's also only on Friday and Saturday nights. We're looking forward to our next trip soon! Already booked for the end of the month and hope the pool...

The hotel room (8551) was rather small but clean. I could hear a tv from a neighboring room for a little while the first evening, but never heard a peep after that, so maybe it was just unusually loud that one time. My view was of the docks; the other side had a nice beach view. The big negative was the lack of water pressure in the bathroom, especially the shower. The only way to get decent pressure was to turn the handle so far that it got uncomfortably hot. The casino was subpar--all 6-5 black jack and a poor selection of video poker (only at the bars). Island View across the bridge was better with 3-2 BJ, but it allows smoking (but it wasn't an issue when I was there). Finding a parking spot near the Beachview was difficult, but the hotel provides shuttles to take you to and from your car, which was very nice. (Dial ext. 3120) I think they might drive you over to the Island View, as well. Positives: clean room, parking shuttle, muffuletta at the Dockside Deli, Island View breakfast buffet, food comps, smoke free casino. Negatives: low water...

The Island View casino is a great place. Especially the beach side. All the slot machines for you to zombie out on, and some gambling tables where you can laugh with your friends while handing the casino guy money. What fun!!! You NEED to drink - a lot. Just tip the bartender whatever you want. The drink is usually free! Everyone you talk to is very friendly. The guests are mostly well dressed, and I'm pretty sure that most of them aren't strung out on meth or heroin. It's all diabetes meds and blood pressure controls for these party animals! For a place this big and nice, there are a lot fewer single working ladies than I would expect to find, so, it's like, you know, family friendly. Oh yeah, this hall, situated between the new beach casino and the not as new beach hotel smells like someone caught a pinhole in their catheter drain bag, and then, walked circles over every inch leaving a light, but pungent, bodily fluid odor behind as the liquid evaporated.
