We had higher expectations before eating here. There were 2 reviews, one negative & one positive so we went with an optimistic mindset, hoping to break the odds positively. We made reservations for 5 pm beating the dinner rush they seemed to expect as there were plenty of staff hanging around. A window table was requested per their website, “Enjoy beach views while you dine on prime rib, steak or fresh fish.” Clearly management hasn’t sat along the windows as our view included the beach but also directly below a large open air trash bin, the long type you’d see on a large truck. Additionally a fork lift was present as well as frequent “culinary” staff taking cigarette breaks behind the casino. Those items seemed to highlight the beach parking lot as well, not the gulf. It gave our conversation a direction where we assumed they built a restaurant in empty unused space rather than a well thought out design. Also you’ll discover the, “...tableside Spinning Salad presentation” is really noisy carts being pushed around on hard wood or tile floors. There are two large bowls, I’d assume one below is filled with ice to keep the upper bowl of salad cold when they stir it adding dressing. Our waitress offered a taste of dressing to my father first, which was nice but you actually don’t really see anything but a spoon moving in a circle followed by putting the premixed ingredients onto a plate. It was a whole lot of unnecessary noise for nothing. I imagine with a full dining room it’s obnoxiously loud with carts and giant bowls moving around like a busy airport. As to the food, as a group we had the fish of the day, the only fish on the menu, Snapper. My mother thought it was very good. My father didn’t like the Prime Rib, which is their namesake. I ordered the Rib Eye which was a let down. First off as the dining is open to the kitchen area I saw my order hit the service area about 4-5 minutes before the rest of the table. Sitting under the heat lamps I assume is what changed a medium rare to almost well done. It was a 12oz piece but cut extremely thin, less than half an inch not on the bone. Normally I’d prefer a smaller diameter but much thicker cut off the bone. I also expect a steak to be juicy leaving juice on the plate, which didn’t happen. My side was Au Gratin Potatoes, that actually had zero flavor and only one bite with a hint of cheese. It came with a cup of melted cheese on the side or perhaps that was a brandy green peppercorn sauce for the steak? I’m unsure. The price for the Rib Eye was $29, which when eating I thought you could get three better cut steaks at Sam’s Club. The staff on the other hand were warm, friendly and very attentive to our needs. They would get a five star rating alone. Outside distracting us from the garbage bin and mediocre deli food was a domestic dispute in the parking lot involving the police. It wasn’t terrible food but I’d only return if it was more than 50% off the menu prices or a comp for gambling, but none of us are players. It felt overall like cheap deli food but way too pricey for the quality. Ironically it sits in between an actual deli and the front check in desk. The space may have been originally designed as an office area I dunno. Not...

I visit the restaurant about once a month ...It's one of two fine restaurants at Island View Casino in Gulfport MS. It's the only one of the two that doesn't allow smoking so that's definitely a plus ... I always dine at the bar bc it's always a solo getaway trip and it seems that "Joe" is always the bartender ... After the second visit he not only remembered what I had prior but he suggested not EVERY special but only the new ones that he thought I might like based on past do I g experiences and then took it even further !!! He knows the "flavor" of wines that I prefer but also knows my sense of adventure and is happy to recommend others to pair with whatever new culinary delight the chef has added to the decadent menu .. Tonight (02/11/2025) was special...it had been a long day and not only was i met with the same above fabulous hospitality that I'm used to but a new dish that was beyond amazing ! Bacon wrapped shrimp with citrus slaw ...... But the overall vibe felt even better. ..Employees seemed happier.... There was even a much more cordial greeting at the podium than I recall in the past ...IDK what you guys are doing but keep up the...

My husband and I had a $100 gift certificate to Prime Cut. Thank you guys for supporting the Pass Rotarty Club’s Paddle the Bay event. We called and made a reservation for a Friday evening dinner. We were seated immediately in the area we requested. We had a great view of the beach and sunset. Our waiter, Brad, was prompt and helpful as we made our selection. The food was good. The salad was especially good. My husband’s rib eye and my prime rib cut was tasty and plentiful. The desert was also good. We had read a review that was not very good prior to making our reservation. Sorry those folks had a negative experience. It’s hard on the food service industry right now. That doesn’t excuse poor service or food that’s not tasty. I think you have to develop a sense of patience and treat the server with respect. It usually will be returned to you. I would recommend this restaurant. Bring your pocket book (we spent our entire gift certificate!), but I think for a special date night it will be a pleasant dining...

Exceptional! I tried the Honey Pecan fried chicken breast and my boyfriend had the Fish of the Day which was Grouper, he was impressed - I was completely blown away! Their new chicken dish was probably the best peice of chicken I've ever had. It was definitely the most tender peice of fried anything I've ever had. But to complete this amazing dinner service, our server Tonya was incredible! She perfectly timed and anticipated everything we could have needed, with charming attitude. We travel a lot and this was by far the most flawless dinning experience we've had in at least a year, if not more. Cudos to Tonya and the rest of the staff on the way you represent Mississippi hospitality!

So this was our first visit to Prime cut and it will not be the last!! The food was delicious from the salad to the crab soup to the rolls. My fiance got the ribeye, unfortunately it was a little too rare so they took it back and it cam out perfect. I had the surf and turf...it was PERFECT! The best part of the meal was our server Troy Lewis, he was fun, fast and overall fantastic (you should ask for his section) we will on our next visit!! Thanks Troy u da BEST.
