Port of Gulfport — Local services in Gulfport

Let's write a little about my experience charging at this port, making a load for Chiquita. We arrived and since we do not have TWIC card they gave us a number to call the escort service to enter, we had to make a U turn to exit, but it is not really well signposted and we exited on the wrong path, the security lady came out screaming very loudly, that we must have to go back and passed again, but in a very bad way. Anyway, we called the escort service and we had to go about three miles to wait, there we got a little nervous after 2 hours without receiving any news, so I called again and they told me not to worry, they were about to arrive to take us to the port. From there, everything was very fast, the escort girls are fantastic, they do all the work, they even open the trailer doors for you, they bring you the BOL and seal, everything, the service costs 75+ 3 card fee, 78 dollars and loading didn't take more than 30 minutes, in and out. A little confusing but here’s some clarifications.

If you DO NOT have a TWIC card, you will need to use an escort. I used USMaritime and their address is 3117 34th Ave Gulfport MS 39501 Pull into the lot and someone should approach your truck and ask you for a pickup number. $75 is the total for the escort, I used EFS so it was $75 even.
