I only like writing positive reviews but when wrongdoing happens it’s very important that travelers beware. I have stayed on this property throughout the years and usually have been ok with each stay just needing a quick place to rest my eyes and shower and move on. The area is to be cautious of as there are street nomads constantly around and the property does have a demographic of business to family travelers with a majority of seedy questionable guests. The property is decently kept at times but then trashy and under-kept on other occasions as it’s never consistent in its appearance and upkeep. The rooms are also kept the same way from clean and tidy to dated, aged and missing furniture so it depends on the rate you paid depends on the room you’re assigned. So this review comes from a very terrible experience I encountered. I made my reservation through a travel site and through Wyndham I am a Diamond member but at times third party reservations are at such large savings it’s not worth using points or status to use perks. When I arrived to check in I was told that I was listed on the do not rent list. I asked why and the reason was that my last stay my friends and I had ruined property during the stay. This is totally inaccurate information so I asked what stay date and reservation was it and the female told me that she didn’t have that information but she remembered me. I told her she had mistaken me for someone else and she was insistent it was me. I asked for proof and she refused to provide it and stated that I could not check in. I told her that was very odd that I was on the do not rent list and that I had previously stayed on property two nights prior. She said by the way on my previous stay that I had ruined the coffee maker. I thought that was odd as I don’t drink coffee and that I had noticed the coffee maker was missing from the room but it’s usual that furniture and items are never consistent in the rooms. She pulled a broken coffee maker out from beneath the counter to show me a broken machine I have never seen before and she stated she was charging me $50 for it. Which later I did find the charge on my credit card statement, and again refused to check me in and then ignored me. I left bewildered on what had just happened and called Super Travel to explain the situation . They told me they could not refund my stay unless the hotel gave me a letter in writing stating what happened. The hotel would not speak to me and after several emails sent they still would not reply. Super Travel sent the property three emails asking about the situation and the hotel would not reply to them as well. It’s strange that the hotel would not reply to their own travel partner and Super Travel after three months of contacting them about this situation told me there is nothing they can do. It was their travel partner they partnered with and the hotel would not reply to Super Travel or myself yet I’m the one $125 in the hole with no services rendered. When is a business allowed to deny service after accepting payment and not have to prof of answer to why services weren’t rendered? I’m still baffled how this could happen and nothing could be done. I thought about small claims court to hold them accountable but I truly couldn’t waste anymore time or money on the subject just beware beware and beware. I’ve had problems in inexpensive yes cheap and questionable properties trying to save a buck and now I will no longer stay at places like this. My mother and father always told me not to stay in places you can pull your car up to the door of your room to be cautious and never stay in places like this I guess parents always know best, and you get what you pay for, I digress. Beware of filthy inconsistency appearance of motels like this and the shady business practices of this specific property. The area and demographic speak volumes of what to anticipate. I will no longer look for value in places of this type. Read more5 stars for the customer service. HUMAN KINDNESS and going out of one's way to help someone in a difficult time. In this instance the gentleman who helped me could not have exhibited his kindness better. And this is why I will associate the Days Inn name, with gratitude, and as a warm and welcome place to stay. I had just finished moving for the past 13 hours and was dirty, exhausted and just wanted to shower. I arrived at the hotel I had a reservation for only to learn they had cancelled it without calling me prior as was the policy of the host website. I was informed that they were sold out and had no room for me and there was not one vacancy in the entire city. The host website customer service helped me find the only vacancy 2 cities away which was here, Days Inn in Hayward. They only had one room left. When I arrived at the Days Inn it was now 1:30 a.m. I was having trouble doing a bank transfer on my phone and didn't have enough cash to pay in full, since their system doesn't allow for payments in part cash and part bank card so he was unable to give me a room. After the desk clerk, Dennis heard my story and saw how upset and frustrated I was, rather than turning me away he eventually found a way to charge me significantly less than the public rate for that evening so that it could be processed on my bank card. and I was able to get the room. I was able to shower and sleep. Dennis is the reason I was able to have a great next day and was able to fall asleep in bliss rather than being angry. Read moreThis experience was honestly terrible. The service, location, and the rooms. The second we got the we felt like we couldn’t breathe, the room smelled like rust and mold. Every layer of the sheet had some type of stain whether it was pee or juice. The pillows were not even standard they were throw pillows. There was no comforter only bed sheets. We asked for towels and we were told we need to wait till 3pm. The showers had mold. The worst part, there was bed bugs and after that point we had asked the lady for a refund because it seemed like a complete waste of money and she said that wasn’t an option so she gave us another room. I’m not sure to consider it worse or just as disappointing but the floors were not mopped, the bed edges had gum and they were really dusty. The ac unit had chicken or some type of food, there was also bed bugs in this room as well, and the shower was never cleaned.
