Only stayed one night but was very skeptical about the electrical safety of the 30amp service we had to hook up to. I will post pictures. We stayed at site YELLOW 17. When I went to connect to the outlet in the breaker box there was no 30amp breaker, just a hole where one had once been. I checked the breaker box for the immediate adjacent site 18 and found the 30amp breakers in it didn't control the outlets for site 17. I contacted the office and the woman assured me that the oultets were controlled by a breaker but after walking around with her we couldn't find them. I asked if I could move to site 18 which had the breakers but was told I would have to pay an upcharge since it was a 50 amp site. I then asked if I could move to either site YELLOW 9 or YELLOW 11 which were both 30amp sites and empty but was told no because they were reserved. I will state that when we went to sleep around 10 pm and arose at 6 am, neither sites were occupied. She called the owners and I first spoke with the wife who told me that Arizona code doesn't require breakers on 120vac/30amp circuits. I then spoke to the husband who told me that the circuit was controlled by a master panel and plugging into the outlet was no different than plugging into a wall outlet in your home. This appalled me as if this was the case either the outlet or the circuit breaker would have to be a GFCI because this is an outdoor circuit. I eventually connected to the outlet using my Surge Guard Power Protector since it was already dark and didn't feel like trying to find another park this late in the day. I will encourage Good Sam to investigate the electrical safety of this camp during their next inspection because I believe it to be an electrical safety issue.

Well, I think the name about wraps it up … it’s just OK. Easy access off I-40. Far enough away that you don’t hear much traffic – especially with the ACs running :) Check-in was quick and friendly. The park is basically a huge gravel parking lot with sites carved in. They are long and extremely narrow sites. One of those places where you can reach out and almost shake hands with your neighbor. Our passenger side slide was up close and personal with a young tree which will grow into a big tree and be a big problem. RVs are parked opposite of each other and pulled way up front in each site so you aren’t looking in the next door guy’s windows just the guy two sites over! Despite looking pretty level, our site wasn’t. It leaned heavily to the driver’s side and a bit toward the back. Quite a few hookups to choose from which is nice. They are just lined up and down between two sites. It’s a little tricky getting in/out of the sites due to the placement of signs. There is not much shade so it’s hot. There is a wooden picnic table but I don’t know why you would use it as it is sandwiched between your RV and the car next door. Satellite would not be a problem, and they do have cable. Surprise, surprise the WII FI didn’t work. Verizon was 4g 4 bars so we used our hot spots even though it was a bit wonky as it was on an extended network. It’s pretty quiet until the trains start up at 5 AM and the whistles every 15 minutes. IMO, this place is very over priced, and the sites are way too close for our comfort.

There’s very few RV parks that I will give 5 stars to but this place, the OK Rv Park in Holbrook checked all the boxes. First, the staff there was very friendly and accommodating. When we called to verify our site, somehow our reservation did not get booked but they helped us right away getting us a site reserved for our stay. The park is very clean and very nicely designed. It’s all gravel roads and rv sites and the sites themselves are 100’ long each! But here’s the clever part of what I liked about they’re sites. They installed 6 sewer connections equally spaced out along the site. Why can’t every other rv park and campground do this? They made it convenient for any rv to easily hook up to the sewer no matter where you’re positioned on the site, or where everyone’s dump valve is located. I’ve run into this issue many times at other parks and it gets frustrating. It’s a nicely thought out design to the space they have. The park is also conveniently located in the middle of town so groceries, supplies, fuel and restaurants are minutes away. The office also has a lot of petrified wood in their garden to enjoy. They also offer bath houses and laundry as well. This was a great stay and I would recommend to anyone looking for a good spot close to Petrified Forest National Park. 👍🏻
