This place is awesome. Local fresh delicious food with friendly staff! Chips and salsa were fresh, spicy and flavorful! Had the Green Chili Fries and they were delicious! Like a Mexican poutine! I ordered a cup of green chili soup to ensure I had enough to drown those fries. Loved the green chili sauce/soup. You must try something with it. The tamale was beautifully authentic and very tasty. The burrito was huge and packed full of shredded beef with incredible flavor. "Best burrito I've had in my life" says my dining partner. Tostada was fresh and had perfectly ripe tomatoes and good flavor. Great food and a great value. We left absolutely stuffed! This place is a short walk from the Tesla Supercharger. Take the walk and support local business. We came back two days later on our way east and had lunch again! This place is a gem. Loved the chili relleno, tamale, rice and beans. All had good flavor! The enchilada was just cheese topped with the green chili sauce. The cheese inside wasn't melted, but it tasted okay....
Read moreThe first time I came here, in May, the food was a welcome meal at the end of a long day driving. It was not the best that I've had, but it was tasty, and filling The chips were fresh too. The second time I drove through, in September, we stopped for a meal, again after a long day driving. The rice tasted like it had been sitting for hours, and had dishwater in it. The chips were a bit stale. I was hungry, so ate some chips, half of my Chili Relleno, half my beef enchilada, and left most of the rice. This was about 8pm. Unfortunately, about 2 am, I couldn't find my activated charcoal, and proceeded to get projectile vomiting for the next 40 min in the bathroom. Food poisoning. Probably e-coli based on the timing. When the dry heaves finally stopped, I was able to go back to bed, after cleaning up. In the morning, I found my activated charcoal, and felt better within a few hours. They were such nice folks, but I won't be able to bring myself to go there again on...
Read moreGenerally speaking I'm a fan of little diners. I stopped in here with no more recommendation than hearing someone say they saw cops eating there on a regular basis. (Usually a good sign) I was not disappointed. When a place has a daily special, that is often a good bet, and the day I went they had one. All you could eat spaghetti with a salad and garlic toast.
The salad was served cold, and the veggies were crisp. The spaghetti was served hot and was very tasty. I probably didn't need a second helping, but it was good enough that when I was asked if I would like some more, I ask for half a serving.
The waitress was attentive and prompt. The price was very reasonable. If I ever pass this way again I would definitely stop in here and eat another meal. It is just what I would expect from a small town diner. Nothing fancy, just good food and good service at...
