I stayed here as an in between room on a road trip and it was not only very cheap last minute (about $60), but also quite decent! The breakfast was typical to what you'd see at any mid-grade hotel: cereal, juice, bagels, pancakes, coffee oatmeal, toast, and muffins. Lots of carb options, no protein. The staff was very nice and welcoming, even when I got in really late. Lots of fast food options nearby and it's only about a mile to the highway. One star removed because the room doors are hard to open or close and require slamming. Everyone within 6 rooms can hear you slam your door shut (meaning you'll hear it a lot in the morning). The TV is nice! They apparently just upgraded to smart TVs with Netflix, Hulu, Google Assistant, etc. The staff even took time to proactively educate me on how to use their smart TV remote when I checked in, a nice touch! Beds are clean and comfy. The room was cozy and actually a very good size. And thank goodness the non-smoking rooms DO NOT smell like smoke, hallelujah!!

I stopped here for one night as I was traveling. The location is great, right off I-40. The owners or managers were nice upon check-in. The husband was especially friendly. The rooms are a bit shabby. They could definitely use some refurbishing with chips on furniture and normal wear and tear however the room was clean and the bathroom was an especially large one for a motel. The bed was not at all comfortable for me but I do have chronic pain. The one thing I really love is that the bathtub had an adjustable shower head which I could take off while taking my bath and shampoo my hair. It's right on a busy Street and not far away there are trains that frequently pass. I sleep with earplugs so it wasn't a problem for me. They have a small pool but I was too tired that night and it didn't open early enough the next morning for me to use. The breakfast is very skimpy. Basically cereal, three kinds of bread, apples and a banana and orange or apple juice.

Started with evening front desk agent, she knew our driver was handicapped, with 8 cars in the parking lot, she put us on the third floor. She was rude and snotty on top of it too. Finally got upstairs and there is a hole in the wall where the door stop should be, and huge humps in the carpet because it isn't tacked down, major tripping hazards. The chairs and table almost fell apart when we tried to have dinner. Brown spots under sink, and toilet paper roller. And there are 5 things plugged into one outlet with a little 6 outlet box plugged into it. If the TV is on and you use the microwave it blows a breaker. If we hadn't already been on the road for 12 hours we wouldn't be here.

The only reason this place gets one star at all is because the rooms were old and tired, but at least clean. We arrived in the evening after being on the road 10 hours. The girl at the front desk was nice, and appeared to be very accommodating, giving us a room in the back of the hotel next to a door - which is imperative because we are seniors and can't walk very far. She also stated she was giving us a senior discount, and that breakfast was just a carry out bag and to come to the lobby in the morning to get it. Understood with the COVID situation. The room was acceptable and we unpacked our "office" - we are internet developers and travel a bit heavy with laptops, etc. I went to file the hotel receipt and realized that we were charged full rack rate, but at this point the $7 we would save wasn't worth the hassle, we were just too tired to deal with it.

I had to go out to the car for something. When I went to return to the room, the outside door was locked (it had not been locked when we arrived). My key would not open it. I had 2 choices, one to walk all the way to the front of the hotel and then all the way back to the room, or bang on the window - luckily we had a lower floor room and my husband hadn't come out with me as he normally would have when we are staying in an unknown area, so that's what I did.

After several hours of working I went to turn on the TV as the noise helps me fall asleep in strange places, and it didn't work. My husband used the room phone to call the front desk, and it rang and rang - 20+ times, with no answer. He tried several times, same thing. Finally he used his cell to call the direct hotel number. He was told he got the reservations department and he would be transferred to the front desk. When someone answered finally he started to tell him about the issue, and the man who had answered the phone got somewhat irate - apparently he had been transferred to someone else's room who was woken up by the call. He then tried a different number and got an answer at the front desk. The gentleman at the desk said he'd come by and fix it for us. He came by, but after about 20 minutes of trying different things, he couldn't get it fixed, and said they'd been having trouble with the cable boxes. We told him about the door not opening with our keys, he said they'd been having trouble with it and the key unit needed batteries or something. When we said we had tried to call the front desk several times, he said he only had gotten one call and that maybe the phone just wasn't working. I then told him about not getting the discount, and he said he'd talk to his supervisor - who was apparently the same girl that checked us in. He at least tried, and was pleasant, but nothing got fixed. He did offer to change our room, but after 3 hours of working we had no more energy to pack everything up and then unpack it again in another room, it was around midnight at this point.

About 10 minutes later he called the room (on the phone that was supposedly not working) to let us know that he was authorized to give us a $10 discount. At least SOMETHING was fixed.

Lesson learned, we went to sleep and were just going to be happy to get out of this place and back on the road in the morning. We stopped at the lobby to drop the keys off as requested and to pick up the carry out breakfast so we'd at least have coffee and maybe a little something else in us to hit the road. Nobody was in the lobby, and even with my husband calling out, nobody showed up, so we just left.

I have traveled a lot, managed travel agencies for many years, and never have I seen such a cluster * of issues as this place had. Avoid...

Honestly, I'm not sure where I should begin with this review.. I can not express the full depth just how exceptional, how enjoyable, how peaceful, how relaxing& how incredibly comfortable our stay was at this particular location.. To say that it was above par, is saying it mildly.. The room was already super cool in that horrendous Arizona heat, walking into it was instant relief to the body and mind.. We had a nice large King size bed that was so comfy I actually slept like a baby. I'm a person who suffers from insomnia so for me to actually be able to fall asleep and stay asleep, that's HUGE.. We didn't hear a peep from any of the other people staying there, not even our immediate neighbors.. So I'm so incredibly grateful that we took a chance and stayed at this Super 8. We've not had the best of luck when we've stayed at other Super 8 locations so staying here we were going out on a limb. Well so we thought that is. To say that our stay here at this local was anything other than stellar would be untrue. It ended up being so beyond perfection frankly. The employees went above and beyond the call of duty and that honestly doesn't fully describe their above par customer service skills and their overwhelming eagerness to please and be helpful to their customers. We had to repack our entire moving van and needed to barrow a pocket knife from Z, he lent it to us without hesitation. Unfortunatey, my fiance ended up misplacing it or dropping it in a random box and could not find it. We both felt incredibly bad. It was really embarrassing. When we explained this to Z he was so kind and understanding. He did not get upset in the slightest.. We offered to pay him cash for it, he refused. We offered to give him another knife my fiance found while repacking the van and again his answer was no.. He flat out refused both offers and he did not come across the slightest bit upset or even annoyed by us or the fact that we lost his knife. Now if that isn't going above and beyond, than I truly do not know what is... I ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT ANY HESITATIONRECOMMEND THIS Super 8 in Holbrook AZ. If your looking for a place to stay that you'll actually have a peaceful, comfortable relaxing night, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU FOR SURE.. To find a place, or a store or any other type of Establishment that deals with customers that actually goes far above what is expected of them, is almost impossible today. The attention to their customers needs really does have a positive effect on a person. You ABSOLUTELY LEAVE FEELING AS IF YOU MATTER AND THAT YOU WERE VALUED AS A CUSTOMER.. That's a massive rarity today to say the least.. We'll def be back on our next cross country trip, this is a kind of place that you just do not forget. And that's for all the good reasons.. lol THANKS TO THE AMAZING EMPLOYEES, YOU GUYS WERE AWESOME, SO ONCE AGAIN A HUGE THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU...‼️‼️...

FYI Just in case I didn't express myself detailed enough regarding the rooms and their condition... I've got to say this is an easy 5 or 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 All of the way. The room was so fresh, so super clean, the bed was INSANELY COMFORTABLE, bedding was awesome, even the pillows wow.. TV was a nice surprise, it was pretty big. Everything was beyond CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN.. Loved everything including the breakfast in the morning with a nice cup of hot coffee.. I couldn't ask for anything more that's for sure.. Z, I Believe he was the owner was absolutely EXCEPTIONAL and so was his brother.. Both of them have, provided A+++++Service and that's extremely rare today.. Just overall...

This establishment went above and beyond for my grandmother and I. During the balloon festival Oct. ‘23, we had managed to stop at every hotel between Flagstaff and Holbrook.. all affordable places were booked full for the event that weekend. We had slept in the car since we had left our destination on the west coast, and my grandmother needed somewhere to rest comfortably- she had fled a domestic violence situation and we hadn’t had a chance to slow down. The few folks in line in front of me, were either checking in, or turned down over being fully booked as well. This was our last chance to find a place before we had to keep on driving east. Devastated and exhausted, I turned to leave not even wanting to waste their time (the previous man was irate and rude, for about a half an hour, to the staff over a few dollar online booking error) Before I reached the door, they stopped me and asked what I needed. I told them our situation. They said to give them just a second.. that they take care of their elderly and children and they knew of one room that had been booked and then canceled. They made a way. They not only got my grandma a room, but it was a better room than we could’ve ever hoped for. Fully stocked and spotless, comfortable, and they assisted us with our bags. They were just as generous and courteous the following morning and never made us feel like an inconvenience at all. The following night my grandmother was killed in a head on collision. You never know when is the last time that you will have a warm roof over your head or a safe place to rest.. and this establishment did just that. After being disrespected and bullied, they were still kind and generous enough to bless others. I am forever grateful for this place and its staff for being such a blessing in a desperate...
