Oasis Beach House — Hotel in Hollywood

They waited 2 days before booking to tell us the pool was closed due to a part shortage (all other pools in FL were fine.) They refused to refund us. I had booked the place 2 months prior and the pool has been shut down for weeks! The city posted a board of health safety warning sign on the gate entrance. And a trash can was floating in the pool too. Our hot water and wifi didn't work the first night. My daughter had college work she needed internet for but not even that worked! A safe alarm kept going off and it took like 5 hours before they got someone there to fix it. I begged for a refund so we could go somewhere else through text since there are no staff there, only subcontractors. I work in ministry and saved a long time for this vacation that was the first I have had with my daughter who is going through a lot. It has been many years since I have been anywhere. We did our best to enjoy our time there (too windy to swim in ocean or do much. There were wind and riptide alerts every day and no pool to swim in.) Others guests were upset and felt scammed as well. I cried in the bathroom every night because this place was a disaster and I felt so scammed! They are supposed to be Christian owned place, so it is heartbreaking how they treated all of us. They lied and tricked us knowing for weeks about the pool. They have a small warning at the bottom of their add on VRBO that they later added about things could go wrong there and how there could be part shortages but how there are no refunds, yet don't say nothing about their pool being closed down!! They also mentioned to get travel insurance in a way of telling you it isn't their fault if anything is wrong with the place because they consider this bogus warning as a way to cover their behinds. This warning was not there when I booked 2 months prior. Travel insurance may cover this if you turn this place in as a scam...just maybe. Please avoid this awful place. The pictures look beautiful by they pool and that is why all of us chose this place, but the people running it don't care, aren't around and will just take your money without providing what they show in their add. I will never even return to Hollywood because of the horrible memory...

I spent my birthday here in august 2015 as a solo traveller. I felt safe here and the location is the best you can get..walking distance to just about everything. The grounds here are clean and private. You have to use a code to get in which i loved. Once you enter the pool is right there and boy did i take advantage of it...just perfect..i went from beach to pool all day long!!||||I chose the christmas room which is on the lower level. Great for a couple and a single traveller. Its funny even though it wasn't christmas the decor was lovely. At night I'd put on the christmas tree lights and it was so soothing..very calming. Cathy and Paul are excellent host and such great people!! Its very hard nowaday to find great customer service..and these people really do care. It shows in how they take care of there property. You can even wash your clothes as there is a washer and dryer. I will be coming back, i just have to. I know that i don't have to search accomadations when coming to hollywood florida..I know exactly where im...
