First off... I am easy to please as long as the customer service and cleanliness are on point!! But, that was not the case... The check in process is a real pain. Make sure you go to 1915 Ocean Dr. N., to check in. It is at ANOTHER hotel owned by the same people. Do not bother to head to La Terrace first as there are no office staff or employees on site to assist... really... with ANYTHING! The phone number plastered on the walls and doors went to a Verizon cell phone that is not in service... wth.... not a pleasant way to start off a summer vacation. Thank goodness there was another motel guest who was able to direct us to the check in location. We finally got to our room.... let's see... where do I start.... it was absolutely not clean.... floors were disgusting... not just sand as anyone would expect... I mean FILTHY.... our feet looked like we walked barefoot through an asphalt parking lot... so we had to wear shoes inside... even after showering! We found a few roaches in the kitchen... in drawers and cabinets, and inside the coffee maker.... ughhh...I expect a couple bugs especially being that we are in Florida at the beach... but really, the coffee maker.... They expect the previous guests to "wash" the very few dishes and utensils that are there... they were definitely not washed... dishes, silverware, etc was dirty, refrigerator was gross inside, sticky and left a mess.... The motel provides no cleaning supplies, sponges, nothing but a couple glasses, plates, coffee mugs, 2 pots, 1 skillet, a very little eating utensils!! Not cool when there is a mini kitchen... that's one reason why we chose it... Anyway, when we called the only working business phone number, at the other check in hotel, we asked for housekeeping to come in the following day and tighten up the room... well, the "manager" showed no motivation to help make us more comfortable or happy, much less apologize for any of the issues we experienced up until that point. The cleaning lady was very sweet, she didn't clean a darn thing tho.... we were leaving for the beach when she came, all she did was replace a couple towels and take the trash... Also, in the description they stated that beach chairs and umbrellas would be provided... hahhahhaaa.... yeah... NO.... they acted appalled when I asked where would could find them!! And **THIS IS A BIG ONE.... When I booked online, I was given my summary that stated there was free parking...however, when we checked in they tried to charge me $20.00 PER NIGHT... I laughed in their faces and told them where to stick it... They didn't charge me but I had to go a little crazy for them to understand I won't be taken advantage of... I guess that summarizes it.... soooo.... after all that.... You should really consider staying somewhere else... there are so many other hotels, motels, condos, resorts along the Hollywood Boardwalk.... don't let saving a couple bucks ruin your trip........
Read moreBooked this nightmare based on the halfway decent reviews we read and the pictures that were available….these reviews cannot be real at all. If I could give no stars I would. Came here with my other half for a beachfront getaway and upon pulling up in the back alley there was sewage smell tons ,I mean TONs of construction degree circling the building so to say it’s under construction is an understatement. There were opened windows with pigeons flying in and out of the unit we later discovered was the unit they were giving us. We were promised a newly renovated corner unit and was reassured the construction was minimal (the whole entire building has been under construction per the man in the office-owner for a year) so we get our room number (10) and when we walk up to the unit the door was already propped open… we opened it up to two queen beds jammed into a little room which smelled like a gas station bathroom…. So my other half was upset because not only did he realize the guy didn’t give us the unit we booked, the room vibe was like the pay per hour vibe. The terrace furniture is nothing at all like the pictures and there were NO umbrellas. There were cigarette butts all over and the place looked like it should be condemned. My other half went to express his disappointment to the owner in the office and was quickly met with cussing and nastiness so I can’t remotely fathom all the other people saying the guy was accommodating and nice. Should have known this place would be a nightmare upon pulling up and then the guy not even showing up till close to 11 to check us in….. then having a sign that reads that the towels are not for beach use, cleaning up blood or bodily fluids. Gross! Long story short the guy said we were not welcome to stay at his place which was a statement from the heavens…. I was already not wanting to stay there but you feel screwed since you booked in advance, flew here and get bamboozled by a place fit for bums. I would like to extend my sincere gratefulness to this guy for having such a dump and warm personality….we ended up at Margaritaville for our entire visit and had the BEST trip EVER!!!
If you don’t care where you lay your head,, prefer to sleep in all of your clothes, never take your shoes off (even in the shower) sleep with birds flying in your window and smell the sewage and grease from the restaurant below, this is your place!!!
YOU GET WHAT...

2023 update looks like they're putting some money into doing updates for the rooms seems like the beds are way more comfortable, they're expanding and doing some things to the patio upstairs which cuts into the view a little bit but I'm sure the work is almost done and the beach is definitely still in view. we stayed in room 7 which is very nice with updated furnishings. been coming here for about 3 to 4 years sometimes multiple times a year it's our favorite spot. My girlfriends go to spot in Florida now. Getting checked in as a little different they've got an outside phone that you pick up on the back side of the building near the surf road tell him you want to check in and then somebody will run down and let you into the office.
Old review Gem in the rough, cheaper than the rest, right on the beach. Rooms were a smaller but very nice. Motel/apartment style with Dishes microwave coffee machine toaster. Very large nice tiled three person shower not that you need three people LOL. But big enough for sure. Comes with a full-size fridge, smart TV, updated furnishings and updated air conditioner units. You walk up the stairs to your room then there’s a general greeting area that is right over a bunch of shops in the main walkway on the beach. Plenty of seating up there if you just wanna people watch or have some drinks. Sort of like a central congregating area. Nice to be able to walk about 20 yards and be on the beach. Parking is a little tight and they charge you $20 a day to park which seems a little bit steep but you’re saving the money on the room. Walking distance to you several bars and many shops and mini ice cream shops. Highly recommend if you’re looking to save a little money and still have a beachfront...
