I recently had the pleasure of joining a boat tour with "Dolphins and You" and it was an experience I'll never forget! From start to finish, the entire crew (especially Brendon, Tita and Aya), led by our fantastic captain Danny, made the trip enjoyable and memorable. The highlight of the tour was undoubtedly spotting whales and dolphins. The crew's expertise and keen eyes ensured we didn't miss a single moment of these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. As a non-swimmer, I was initially a bit apprehensive about being on the water. However, Tita and Brendon with their professionalism and friendly demeanor quickly put me at ease. They were attentive and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable throughout the journey. While Tita showed confidence in me and helped me get into the water, Brendon was there by my side the whole time and made sure I enjoyed my time. I am really thankful to both and really appreciate their encouragement. The crew's lighthearted jokes and beautiful dance made the trip even more enjoyable. We were delighted to get some clicks with them. To top it all off, we were treated to the sight of beautiful rainbows arching over the water. A special highlight was when our captain Danny let me drive the boat for a while. This personal touch truly made the trip exhilarating. I highly recommend "Dolphins and You" to anyone looking for an extraordinary adventure on the water. The crew's dedication, the captain's leadership and the unforgettable sights of whales and dolphins make this tour a must-do! Thank you "Dolphins and You" for an...
Read moreAloha! If youâre in Honolulu and thinking, âShould I go on a dolphin tour?ââmy advise would be to pick this one!! This experience was beyond amazing for both adults and kids. Seriously, beyond 10/10!
Once on the boat, we were welcomed by Captain Dani and her awesome crew, Ingrid and company. They gave us plenty of time to soak in the experienceâno rushed âOkay, everyone back on board!â moments here. Just good vibes, clear blue water, and a front-row seat to a nature documentary happening in real life.
And what a show it was! We saw whales! Not just the âOh look, a tiny splash in the distanceâ kind, but full-on whale acrobatics. We also saw so many dolphins. Like, they were clearly showing off for the kids, jumping and spinning. Best wild-life dolphin show I have ever seen!
The slide on the boat was a huge hit with the kids (and kids in the adults), and snorkeling was great. Kayaking and paddleboarding with the mountains in the background? Chefâs kiss.
Oh, and Dahlia, the photographerâabsolute star. She was so attentive to all the details, suggesting great shots, making sure we got the best angles (aka, the ones that donât make us look like we just fought a sea monster). We received the photos couple of hours after the tour, and they were just AMAZING. She is really good at what she does!
Shoutout to Ross, our shuttle driver, who was super accommodating at the end of the day when my kids fell asleep on the bus. Legendary customer service on his side!
Overall, this tour had everythingâgreat crew, stunning views, and amazing...
Read moreWe were on the Dolphins and You tour on the afternoon of 7/29/25. First and foremost, the crew/boat/experience were all absolutely amazing. In hindsight, I was disappointed in the response to the tsunami warning.
We were actually in the swimming portion of tour when alerts started going off. The crew's response was 'everything's fine/we get these all the time/no big deal', etc. I didn't realize how big a deal it was until I was asking the crew for dinner recommendations, and they mentioned most places might be shut down because of the warning. And then the bathrooms near the harbor were closed, with a sign saying to get to high ground. And we were very lucky - our resort was in West Oahu. The 10-11 mile drive back, which had taken maybe 15 minutes in the morning, took well over an hour.
I have no idea if/how guests staying in Honolulu/Waikiki would've gotten back. In a state where tourism is your primary industry, we were reliant on the crew to interpret the seriousness of the situation and provide context. What I assumed was no big deal was actually a huge deal.
Luckily everything turned out fine. And I totally understand that this might have been a first for everyone on the crew. But if/when this situation happens again, I'd encourage the company to train the crew to end the excursion and give people the opportunity to get to safety as quickly as possible. Having said all that, I'd gladly take this trip again - it was an amazing...
