This Residence Inn was a nice place to visit. Check-in was easy and quick. The woman at the desk was nice, but she wasn't very informative and I don't think she paid attention to the fact that we were from out of town. She didn't recommend any restaurants or offer any information as far as any of the nearby places we may want to get food delivered from. The reason that I mention this is because we arrived around 8pm in the evening, so businesses were close to closing time, some 10pm, some 11pm. The four of us get to our 2 bedroom suite and the first we noticed was a fishy smell coming from the sink. I called and the same woman at the desk said that engineering was gone for the evening and that she would send someone in the morning. Okay, fine, that's great! Engineering came up the next day and fixed the problem. Now, when we go to order our food, we later notice on the list of restaurants that deliver is that they had menus at the desk!! That little piece of information would have been very helpful at check-in. This was not the only thing that was wrong though; one of the places that we tried to order from was out of business or had moved to another location, so my hubby and the male of the other couple spent a half hour driving around looking for a carry-out place that was 15 minutes away. They really do need to update their list. That was pitiful and could have saved us some time, especially when we were hungry and wanted to eat. On a lighter note, they do offer free breakfast (NOT continental) which is great! It was a weekend getaway for the four of us, so Saturday morning, the two guys go and grab breakfast for us ladies. The eggs were okay, the pancakes were subpar, the sausage patties were okay. They do get credit for offering a variety of breakfast items, but the key is to get there early. Breakfast starts at 7am and ends at 9:30am. I did notice that they were still cooking around 9:15, but I think their goal is to be completely done by 10am, but still GET THERE EARLY!!! It was very crowded and the space to get food was tight. There was a slightly different breakfast served on Saturday than on Sunday. Sunday morning my husband and I decide to walk to get breakfast and the food was better on Sunday than on Saturday for some reason. The eggs were better, they were more fresh. I was able to make a belgian waffle which was good, but the container nozzle needed some work to get the batter out, which...

Read moreNeat place! Rooms are townhome-like. Not accessible from the lobby and no elevator, but by buildings with steps that all interconnect with pathways to the lobby/pool area. It was beautiful weather when we stayed, but I can imagine that if it wasn't nice out then walking to the lobby from the back buildings wouldn't be as pleasant. Rooms are spacious and quiet, beds are moderately comfortable. Full kitchen is a plus! I enjoyed the way the TV was set up on a swivel between the bed area and the living room area. When we travel with our young kids we can still stay up watching tv in bed that way, while they are on the other half of the room. Huge closet was nice too as we had formal wear with us for a wedding. I had brought welcome bags for the wedding guests who were staying there, And heard from everyone I spoke with that they received theirs. Thanks to the front desk staff for distributing those! Pool area was nice and we swam twice. Lemonade and iced tea are offered all afternoon in the lobby, thank you! Staff was all extremely kind. When I had forgotten to ask for a pack n play late the first night, a staff member delivered it within 5 minutes of me calling for it. Also, housekeeping delivered us fresh towels and toiletries while we were swimming the first morning so that was nice and we were not disturbed- didn't even know they were there.
My only complaints: the toilet/shower part of the bathroom is very small- to the point that it's hard to close the door. The rest of the vanity area is well laid out and quite spacious. The breakfast, while very nice quality and decent selection, is in way too small of a space for when the hotel is full and many people are walking in at the same time. The second day we lucked out more and ate earlier but if you come in around 9:00, expect a crowd. Overall I would recommend the place, especially if you need space and a more 'apartment' style room to stay awhile in. Thank you residence inn!
Oh! And in the area is a nice park with jogging/biking paths and a really neat playground. I jogged down to a Starbucks less than a mile away, too. We tend to look for hotels near jogging paths and...
