Stayed here 5/7/24 for 1 night. Denver had had a ground stop, missed our flight and was sent to Houston for a morning connection. I called the hotel a little past 9pm to ask if they had a shuttle and the lady at the front desk said yes so my response was I will call when I land to have it come pick us up. When I arrived in Houston just a little past midnight, I called and the front desk lady said she didn't have a shuttle at this time. I asked her why she couldn't tell me when I called what time they stop running so I could plan accordingly and order an Uber. When we arrived at the hotel after getting the Uber the lady seemed like she was having and attitude. I asked her if they do refunds for the inconvenience as other hotels have and she very rudely said no. Then she went on to say that she shouldn't assume what time i am coming in and it's not for her to tell me when the shuttle stops running. I told her that as the front desk person it is her job to inform customers about the hours, specially that late at night. She then raised her voice, talked over me and threatened to cancel my hotel stay saying "I don't have to let you stay at MY hotel if I don't want to" so my response was go ahead and cancel I can go find another hotel. When I said that she changed her attitude and proceeded to charge us for the room. We didn't want to have to find another hotel past midnight since we had been traveling all day and we're very tired. When we walked in the room we saw a roach! But we didn't want to ask for another room because the front desk lady was so rude and unprofessional the last thing I wanted was to interact with her again. Horrible night sleep woke up early and called for the 7am shuttle. Went to wait for the shuttle outside and when the driver came he told me he was never informed that he had a shuttle at 7am. I wasnt surprised the lady at the front desk never told him since she was being rude and having and attitude towards me for calling her out on her horrible customer service skills. I called Hilton and filed a complaint about her and the terrible stay, was contacted by the hotel but waiting to hear back from the manager. I will never again stay at this property. Worst hilton experience ever!! This coming from a diamond member 4 years in a row (my status just changed) since I have found marriot to be a better choice...

Fresh Hotel Vibes by IAH
Finally, a hotel near IAH that doesn’t feel like it was decorated during the Nixon administration. This place is new, modern, and has that “just unboxed” feel — like a fresh pair of sneakers in hotel form.
The room came with a mini-fridge, which was perfect for keeping drinks cold and leftovers forgotten. No microwave, though, so reheating that sad slice of airport pizza? Not happening. Still, all the essentials were there, and nothing felt like it had been around since dial-up internet.
Now the real MVP move: the food scene. Just steps away, you’ve got Mexican, Arabic, Domino’s, Subway, AND a Pakistani restaurant — basically a global food tour without needing a passport. Whether you want tacos, shawarma, biryani, or just a pizza and regret, it’s all there.
It’s clearly Hilton’s budget-friendly cousin, but it’s holding its own. Compared to the crusty old hotels nearby, this one’s the new kid on the block — and honestly, it shows. If you’re stuck with an overnight layover or just need a place that doesn’t smell like “vintage mystery,” this one’s a solid pick.
As a budget-friendly Hilton option, though, don’t expect luxury. The breakfast is… minimal. Like, “is this a continental breakfast or a polite snack?” minimal. The fitness room has just enough equipment to make you feel slightly guilty about skipping it. Same vibe for other services — they’re there, technically, but it’s clear the focus is on keeping costs down.
That said, the place is clean, comfy, and feels fresh — which is more than I can say for a lot of the older hotels near IAH. If you’re just looking for a solid, affordable stay near the airport (with bonus food options all around), this one’s...
Read moreI rarely leave a bad review but PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS!!!
I had an absolutely horrible experience with this hotel. We had an early flight this morning and when we checked in, the front desk lied to us about transportation options. We were told that there were no Ubers available early in the morning AND the shuttle service is NOT AVAILABLE early morning, and that the hotel could arrange a "taxi" for us. We asked how much the taxi would cost, and the front desk claimed to have no idea, saying, "I've never taken a taxi before." We trusted them and assumed it would be a normal taxi with reasonable rates, possibly a small surcharge for the early time.
This morning, when we took the so-called "taxi," it turned out to be a private car with no meter, not an official taxi at all! For a 2.7 mile, 6-minute drive, we were charged a ridiculous $120! To make it worse, an Uber for the same trip would have cost around $16, even with a surcharge!
The hotel front desk was completely deceptive. They knew exactly how much that service would cost but chose not to disclose it to us. It's clear that they are in on this scam, likely getting a commission from the driver. This is an unethical business practice, and I feel robbed. If they had been upfront about the cost, we would have made different arrangements.
This was an outrageous rip-off, and I would never stay here again. If they are willing to deceive guests about something like this, they can easily be deceptive in other aspects of their service as well. If you care about your money and don't want to be taken advantage of, avoid this hotel at all costs. They are misleading their guests to pocket extra cash. Absolutely unacceptable and...
